A bunch of my equipment is Specialized...not my bike though..maybe I need to get a Specialized road bike to be more like Andy...haha... Maybe you should! I really like my Tarmac, but to be fair I don't have much to compare it with except a few test rides. Good commercial though. I'll have to look out for it when I watch today's stage later. |

I've done some laundry, cleaned the kitchen, and degreased and lubed my bike's drive train. Good stuff! Now it's about time to go fire up the grill and have some good old steak and corn on the cob. I love that I can technically say that tonight's menu was my kids' idea, so I don't have to feel as guilty about it! Good night all, and I'll see you tomorrow! |

We had a huge storm roll through at about 2 am last night. Recorded wind gusts were up to 70mph. So of course I had to go out for a run this morning and survey the damage. Tons of trees down, grills tossed across yards, fences blown down. There was even a trampoline lying in the middle of a field. 2 big trees were down along the running trail too. I was able to crawl over one but the other one was too big. Crazy stuff! Heading out for a ride in a bit. Nothing like a good old mid-western thunder storm. When I lived in Kansas City, we'd sit on the patio (I lived in a high-rise) and watch them roll in. I think the grill tossing may have been attributable to some local frat parties though. I actually sat and watched this one for about an hour. There was no way I was getting back to sleep with the sound the wind was making so, after making sure my grill hadn't flown off my deck, I watched stuff blow across the parking lot. It was fascinating. |

I should probably do it now...or I can wait till I go home next week and make my brother do it with his new found bike love...hmmm I have to take my bike a part at some point next week anyways and then put it together again on the other side of the Rockies.
