Something red made it's way in. So yep, last night's spin therapy was complete with PINK TOWELS. Coincidence? Or the power of the Peep? |

Elite 4148 Utah | Subject: RE: Proud Pink Peeps OMG... no T.I.T.S. today... spent afternoon going across town to bike shop I knew would have some knowledge for me... I proved to be an idiot when I brought the front wheel instead of rear for sizing (need the cassette to match up for new one)... learned that it's going to cost me approx $200 to convert mtn bike over for first race (want to keep wheel for mtn biking and not have to keep changing rubber between terrain).... though I learned that I'll probably get really good at changing out my fork too (what a pain that's gonna be) Soooo..... I just spent 1 1/2 hr on web searching for bikes.... found an 06 Giant Road for $220 on e-bay... brand new 06 Marin Verona for $450 (sold by shop)... and a few other interesting bikes.... unfortuantely, nothing in local ads. I'm a little worried about guessing at stem length (but I figure 50 cm will be okay, it's hard to find smaller for sale "second-hand" Any suggestions.... Well, the kids wore me out this morning, and I'm tired.... Hopefully tomorrow I'll sneak into the aerobics room and hop on a V-bike for a while (in the dark).... Later..... |

If we have another spin class like that one, I'll wear a pink princess shirt. Ok, that's not true. No biking on the schedule for me until Sunday. I'll be out of town to see the finacee. We're registering this weekend. Well, she's registering. I'm just making sure I shoot a sweet coffee maker. It was my second choice. Apparently, I'm not allowed to register for a Felt. Oh, and tomorrow our department (all three of us) is moving to a new building. A brand spanking new one with sweet new offices. Complete with a fake plant and a painting of Beale Street. I'll even have a beautiful view of my old building. How special! I'm only still awake because my dryer doesn't dry to well. Have a great weekend, peeps! |

Champion 5117 Brandon, MS | Subject: RE: Proud Pink Peeps Totally off this challenge for a bit, one of the reasons this site is so great is this: A guy that's in the same mentor group as me couldn't swim 50 meters in October. Now check out what he just did. Anybody think they could hit up some inspires for him? He deserves them ten times over for the work he's put into it. I can't wait to swim in the morning after seeing that. |

Extreme Veteran 378 Really South | Subject: RE: Proud Pink Peeps Does riding the trainer count? Was that in the rules and I just missed it? It is suppose to be a balmy 34 degrees Saturday and Sunday morning. I am hoping to ride during the day Sunday when it warms up but just in case life gets in the way and I can't then I didn't know if I could substitue the trainer. So........yeah or neah??? Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!!! |

Ok, that's not true. Don't be silly, you don't need a t-shirt... just wear a tiara instead. No biking on the schedule for me until Sunday. I'll be out of town to see the finacee. We're registering this weekend. Well, she's registering. I'm just making sure I shoot a sweet coffee maker. It was my second choice. Apparently, I'm not allowed to register for a Felt. Heh, I don't see why not! I know plenty of guys that register at Home Depot. Just sayin'... OK, let's see... coffee maker... repeat after me: Have a great time this weekend and good luck with registering. It's more fun than being poked in the eye with a sharp stick but less fun than riding your bike. Hope both the office move and the clothes drying worked out without incident .

I thought that was interesting. |

Hmm.. didn't realize that. That dude can run, and he just got picked as a wear tester for Brooks. Two free pairs of shoes this year. That is so cool. Our group is doing timed miles next. I've already reserved my place at the back of the pack. Have a good weekend, peeps. I'll be spending my Saturday in Bed Bath and Beyond and Target saying: "Yes honey, we definitely need one of those." "How will it improve my training?" "I mean, ofcourse it will really tie the room together." |
