Winter storm warnings with almost white-out conditions right now.  Sounds like a good day to train in the elements and HTFU!

I'm getting sick and tired of this weather! I can deal with the cold if the trails are clear to run on, but I'm supposed to run and not skate so it was the treadmill today for my long run...all 13 miles of it. It was kind of nice to be running without obsessing about my pace on my garmin, but it seemed to take forever because there is nothing good on television on Sunday morning!

Yes, the weather out west (well the southwest anyway) is pretty nice right now.  Been in the mid to upper 70s to low 80s the last few days with partly couldy skies.

Today the high is supposed to be in the upper 80s pushing 90 starting off partly to mostly cloudy and clearing throughout the day.

Sorry, not intending to flaunt the sunny AZ weather just thought I'd add a little to the incentive/desire to move out west. lol

Have a great day!! Will try to send some warm and sunny weather your way.

So basically I should bring earplugs for the MOO course group rides to drown out all the whining is what I am seeing?    Hang in there folks, winter is almost over.  At least now when I tell myself this will be the last snowy run so enjoy it, i can somewhat believe myself.

Huh?  I usually find a bathroom running instead of going in the woods.  What are you saying Phil?

That's Phil being wize-cracky-like.  You were so excited that you had to relieve yourself.

Have you missed us? I, myself, stay away from this thread because I'm in denial that it's time to start actively talking about the race. Yikes!

I'm all for pushing the elements when it comes to running, but when the ground is perpetually covered with ice and there are 60mph wind gusts, it makes it kind of hard to bike. I am praying it is above 40 with a little sun for my next ride, I am sick of the trainer!

So how is everyone's training going?  Who is started on actual plans?  I'm doing well, keeping optimistic but realistic.  When are people going to start heading down to Madison to ride or run?

1st IM(MOO)

Using Competitive Program in Be Iron Fit.  I will start my 2nd week on Monday 3/2, and all is going well.  No missed workouts, but I did have to squeez in a 1.5 hour bike ride on the trainer at 9pm.  Life just got in the way that day.

So I had my first IM dream (nightmare) last night, and btw, this is strange in and of itself because I rarely remember my dreams the next morning...

So the swim goes pretty well and I find myself in T1 for awhile. This "awhile" turns to a loooong time and involves eating, drinking, watching other athletes come and go, TV viewing and somehow then becomes lounging around at home.

Finally it dawns on me that my six hour T1 was a bit too long. Some quick mental math - 1 hour car ride back to the race another 10+ hours on the course and I won't make the cut-off. CRAP! Now I'm pi$$ed and wake up.

Funny dream,
I had my own a few weeks ago. I didn't remember much of the race until I got to the run and it was going well but I was realy thirsty. I was trying to find a aid station and this lady at this station gives me a shot of vodka insted of water. I just kept telling her I wanted water. I just kept running and running and couldn't find any water And that is how it ended.

As for training starts in April. Cant wait!
