Hi team!

I'm sorry about my extended absence from the thread.  Life got in the way of training, but I've got it sorted out and I'm doing lots of riding this week to get my stages done.

Morning team.  Quick stop by before I head off to Tampa tomorrow.  I have to work in 4 more stages and average about 25 miles per stage to wrap her up at 100%.

Going to try and rent a bike in Tampa and then hit it Sat & Sun to finish up with the boys.

Did a mountain day yesterday.  Fun times

Have a great week and wrap this up so we can kick butt!

safe travels, BILL.

and enjoy your time in Tampa.  im assuming for pleasure....

way to go working in your stages/sessions!

wrappin' up so we can kick butt, indeed!

GO TEAM!

Alright I did a real weak 31 min session today on a rental bike.  Seat was not adjusted properly and I did not have a tool with me so I took it easy but it was on the bike.  Lance or Alberto would not be proud but I know my teammates are

Tomorrow will be much longer and also Friday.  Should wrap this up easily over the weekend!

COULDNT BE MORE PROUD BILL.

way to go YOU!

who needs the likes of Alberto and Lance

YOU'VE GOT US!

GO TEAM!

two rest days in a row for me.

well.  if taking three boys to an amusement park all day constitutes a rest day, LOL.

though admittedly my husband and i managed to do some bench sitting, while the boys ran from ride to ride to ride

theyre getting old enough, and this park is great in how its set up.  theres a cluster of rides in one area, 6-8 rides, and then a central location, so my husband and i would sit/wait, and theyd go from one ride to the next to the next, and they were always within eye/ear shot of us.  then once they were done w one cluster of rides, we'd move on to the next cluster of rides.

way cool, huh?

today im doing a whole lot of nothing.  well.  housework.  but that doesnt count.

cant remember the last time i strung two rest days together......

looking forward to a LOOONG RIDE tomorrow.

heading out early to beat the rain.

life is good.

Did 45 minutes last night on the trainer, watching the Tour.  Had planned to do 90, but my stupid diabetes had other plans -- my glucose level spiked to 250 during exercise (which it's never done before), so I couldn't continue.  Bleh.  I've since read that it's not that uncommon, but still a pain in the azz.

So I'm a little behind on the challenge, but I should be able to wrap it up this weekend...

Howdy team.  I need 1 nice weekend day to wrap this puppy up.  I could have pushed it in Florida but it is so flat that it feels like cheating.  I think the biggest hill I hit was a sidewalk over a drain area of about 1 foot vertical.  I get that leaving my driveway

Hope you all had a great week and kick this challenge's butt over the weekend!

BILL.  your comment about the biggest hill you hit made me laugh out loud.

too funny.

theres no at single section of road that is flat around here.  id be disoriented riding in Florida.

here's to kickin' this challenge in the butt over the weekend.  WOOO HOOOO FOR YOU!

250 glucose.  yikers RUDY.  have you had diabetes long?   i developed glucose intolerance (which ended up being VERY temporary) AFTER i delivered my youngest son.  NO FUN AT ALL!

hope your levels settled down today.

and here's to wrapping up the challenge this weekend.

50 mile ride this morning -- so I got in another 3.5 hours towards my goal.  I'm now down to 90 minutes and change, which I should be able to finish up tomorrow!

Go team!

ETA: Oh, and I'm happy to report my blood glucose was fine for the whole ride!  That was a relief!
