I know better than to think I can beat Super Cat on a bike.  But, remember that "Super Cat" refers to your Super Powers on the bike.  If you don't ride your bike, you may loose your Super Bike Speed.  Then you'll just be Cat and not Super Cat.  What would BT be without a Super Cat?  How would the world keep spinning if our Super Cat just became Cat?  THE UNIVERSE IS COUNTING ON YOU!  And that does not even address the sorrow Diva is feeling for being ignored.   Lastly, Cadel Evans is out riding in your area.  I'm sure you may run into him if you go out riding.  Just don't blow him off the road too hard.

Go Ride Your Bike.

mrwrite - 2009-07-11 6:19 AM Hey gang! I'm still here, no worries, it's just been a crazy busy week. I've got a sprint triathlon in 6 hours so I need to hit the hay, but I just wanted to check in and catch up. Admittedly, I'm behind - a bit too much of a taper week for me - but I'll get at least one stage in tomorrow if not two. And then I'll be back in the saddle for the next week-and-a-half before I have to bail on the challenge for a vacation. I will reach 100%, though, don't you go losing sleep over me Great job to everyone else!

Have a great race

I am done with 4 stages and starting No. 5 in about an hour. It will be a long long lone one for me....

Happy Saturday everyone

This was actually from me...I must have been logged on as Mesteren

Did my first 90km bike ride ever and it was painful!! Not sure if I ever want to do it again...

GREAT job on your first 90km ride!!!   You rock!    They DO get easier.   I did my first one last fall and I remember how hard the last 20km were.   I thought my hip flexors were going to give out totally.   But I have done 2 or 3 since then and it is surprising how much easier they do get.

Just did a tiny stage 4 today - 33 minutes of EASY riding.    Have been going a bit nuts on alot of long distance hill riding over the past 2 months and I think my body is telling me to back off a bit.  Cry     My running which is pretty poor to begin with, is starting to suffer.   Really have to focus on that this week so I can at least finish my race on Sunday.

P.S.   - GO CAT GO!!!!   Smile

I need to adjust my TdF Challenge. I'm at 90% of the time I allotted myself after 5 of 10 rides. Do I just adjust the google docs myself?

Happy Monday all.  I finally updated the sheet...and realized what a slacker I've been compared to everyone else.  Ouch!

Cat, I also converted my goal from hours to minutes.  Probably not a big deal but I just thought I should let someone know.

Stage Seven

Went mountain-biking for a little over an hour. Found the more technical trails, including a couple of drop-offs so steep that I got to the edge, looked over, and got off my bike to walk it down. Definitely not ready for that yet. Also went down a trail on the edge of a lake, which was marked on the map as being 'potentially wet'. Understatement of the month. It was exceedingly wet, slogging through several inches of water most of the time. I just pushed through, until my front tire hit something hidden underneath the water, at which point it stopped completely and I had no choice but to put my feet down in the swamp. I finally gave up and turned around, squashy sneakers and all.

Sounds like an interesting ride. Do they have as many bike trails in fairbanks as they do in Anchorage? I was amazed to find there are over 120 miles of bile trails in Anchorage. I wish I had that where I live.

Hi team....

I posted this in my log but here is a heads up:

"Bottom line - I seem to have chosen my time off to melt down...
Im exhausted.... really struggling to force myself to leave the house... and such....
Im going to either pull out of the TDF challenge.. or if no one objects.... drastically reduce my goals....
Then Im going back to a planning, little things, one day at a time strategy until I can pull myself out of the funk and feel more like me.... "

Ride lots!

Cat
