I don't know if I'm really liking the taper. Sure I get to rest more, eat more, sleep more...but I'm kinda bored. I want to go out and do a long run or ride but I feel too sluggish to do even that! CRAP!

I just want to get there and race!!

I agree tapering sucks. I missed a ride yesterday, I will miss a group ride today. I missed a run yesterday. Way to much fun to be had. Usually I don't taper at all becaue of this. But I want to do well at this race so I am trying this taper thing. Can't wait till Saturday, heading there tomorrow morning

Can anyone in St. George give a weather update on actual conditions?  Currently in Vegas it is cool and very windy.  Making me worried a bit.

Yes!, I went for a quick 30 min ride this morning in Vegas, and the wind just about pushed me over! I hate the wind!

I didn't even bother going outside for a quick spin this morning.  When I walked outside and my large recycle bin was blown over I figured I might have the same fate if I went out.

Can anybody tell me why when I used strava and google earth I came up with about double the stated run elevation gain of 750 feet. My total elevation gain was between 1400 and 1600 feet.

The run seemed much harder than 750 feet over 13 miles. Thanks for any input.

My garmin said 1063 and strava 1360. I didn't look at it until you said something. Oh well we know how hard it is for next year

My Garmin showed 1163. But it also showed that I gained 49ft of elevation during the swim so take that with a grain of salt.

I don't know what it was, but I'd guess that it wasn't 750ft, b/c I can do 750ft in my area for 13 to 15 mile runs and I've got no where close to the hills that was there.  It was a tough course.
