I also signed up for a tri tomorrow-I will get some guaranteed time to work on my goals. I can still make it, but it is going to be tough to get the 4700 meters in the pool done. |

Champion 7931 Sequim, Washington | Subject: RE: Team Horny Melons (Four-Is-More Challenge) I took my bed time meds(including a mild sleeping pill) about 40 minutes ago. the window of time between swallowing and sleeping is quite interesting. It is colorful and curvy-no sharp angles. like hundreds of vintage marbles across the floor that are then released from the law of gravity and begin to float, glide and hover-moved by the air. and as the marbles bobble along I follow tipping one way, then another, running into door frames etc. I think that the little orbs are leading somewhere....a bed...blankets....pillow...purring cat...coziness. I think that I will climb in. It is so soft and I am sooooooooooo tired. Today has drawn to a close and tomorrow:A RACE! Everything(I hope) is set out in the front room. I am tucking myself in and calling for the cat. She wouldn't want to miss out on her nightly melon kneading. Seriously-she likes to knead me with her front paws, I guess I am a mother figure for her. Kitten knead their mom when nursing-it increases the milk flow. My cat isn't getting anything for all her kneading. here she is...the computer must go. Good night melons.
I get to RACE in the Morning!!!!!!! |

Elite 2443 Athens, Georgia | Subject: RE: Team Horny Melons (Four-Is-More Challenge) Morning Melons. Well it is afternoon now. I hit the pool this morning and I am prepping my bike for a long ride now. This bit of cooler weather is going to be great for riding. I am hoping to get 50 or 60 in. We will see how it goes. My riding partner is wimping out as we speak. Instead of loops I think I am going to do one big one so when he is ready to quit at mile 30 we are still 30 miles from home |

This could be your shoes (ie: you should have run more), or your bike (ie: you should have biked more), or your bathing suit (ie: you should have swam more), or.... etc. Avatars and signature lines will be displayed for the month of October. Elite 2443 Athens, Georgia | Subject: RE: Team Horny Melons (Four-Is-More Challenge) Somehow despite the month I have had in non tri related areas I am close to reaching my goals. I need 608.05 yards of swimming, 1.45 miles of biking, and 5.39 miles of running and I am over on my leg workouts. Had I known how close I was on the bike I would have circled the block again today and just finished it off. So lets get in gear and finish up these goals. One quick question, if I reach all my goals what do I display as an avatar for next month? I guess I don't need to ask that cause we are going to win right? |

Champion 7931 Sequim, Washington | Subject: RE: Team Horny Melons (Four-Is-More Challenge) I just updated the spread sheet with today's data. I should have put my swimming goal in as time-I had a bit of a miscalculation when I set it. I will put in a couple of good workouts, but I don't think I am going to reach 100% on that one. The bike and run I will finish off today and I can probably get the ab work in before the month is out. Edited by mchally 2008-09-27 8:04 PM |

I just assumed the pool measured a full 25 yards. I never thought to check if it was a few inches off. If you reach all your goals, but your teammates don't -- I suppose you could change your avatar to a picture of your teammates. Edited by D001 2008-09-27 10:26 PM |

Champion 7931 Sequim, Washington | Subject: RE: Team Horny Melons (Four-Is-More Challenge) You may have noticed-I am the procrastinating type, but I hate to let people down soooooo I will have at least 100 % on my bike run core. I am optimistic that I will complete my swim goal, but I am not going to make any promises. I am over booked for time(I need to cut back on my obligations) and will need to get at least 2 hour long swim sessions in. I have 2.64 miles to get in still. There is a $2 dollar master swim work out that I will make on Tuesday and I will do my best to get at least one session in before that. It costs 5 buck to swim in the Seattle public pools. |

Master 1989 New Jersey | Subject: RE: Team Horny Melons (Four-Is-More Challenge) I think I'm going to fall one workout short of my swim goal. Running and core workouts are fine though. Ran a half-marathon today - another humid day and once again I had a lousy day. Took off a bit too quick, then consistently faded. That's ok though, it's just a training run for me. But I am concerned because in spite of putting in some more miles than ever, they're all during the week, and the long runs have suffered. but, it is what it is. I am hoping and praying for a cool day in NYC - that's where I seem to run the best. Plus, it's time to ease up on the (over)training. Happy start to the week, Melons. |
