zachkoe - 2009-10-19 11:43 AM anyone else get to run in the snow yesterday? I felt like I was getting hit in the face by a bat (the furry mammal type) the snowflakes were so big.. that quickly turned into nice wet soaking rain. keep up the good work everyone. the miles are getting up there!

I haven't quite had that much fun outside yet.  Nice job getting out there!

kromanowski - 2009-10-19 7:51 AM I hope everyone had a great weekend! I really dislike Mondays.  Not only do I have to be back at work, but we have a weekly meeting on Mondays that goes from 4-6.

Ugh!  Who does that on a Monday?

I suppose this would be a bad time to tell you I'm leaving at 3 today to make sure I can get a nice bike ride in.

I have a weekly meeting on Monday's from 8am to noon.  That's why I have to run at 5am or it doesn't happen.

4 hours?  hope you have the coffee ready for that one

AFTERNOON GHOULIES.

nice swim this morning.  1 mile continuous swim + 550 yds for good measure.

spent 45 mins driving around measuring out my route for tomorrows 12 miler. Santa BEST be bringing me my Garmin 310XT.

my reward is that at mile 9-10ish i get to run through the woods on an asphalt ladened trail.

i know its the little things that motivate me, but man, i sure work what works

not that im gonna rest on my laurels, but i really want to sink down&enjoy tomorrows run, reflect on this season, think about where ive been, how far ive come, where im headed.

listen to some good tunes.  enjoy the leaves.  and the sunshine.  take my time. and....

smile, a lot along the way.

just

run

happy.

sometimes i get SO focused on the training part, that i forget, i do this because i LOVE to....i do this because i enjoy it so...i do this because it makes me happy.

its supposed to be a great day weather wise - not too cold, not hot.

[i even heard in the 70s on Wed, so ill be heading out on my bike for sure that day....]

HAPPY RUNNING!
stacieb

Stacie,

try mapmyrun they have a street follow toggle that you don't have to mess around with angles and all that stuff like you do with bt route creator.

I did all of our mary training runs off of that program.  Makes it very easy - shows elevation also.

oh BILL.

i dont want an easier way to figure out my running routes.  i want a GARMIN 310XT!!!

stamping my feet like a little kid.

all kidding aside.

thanks for info. ill chk it out...because i live around here, i dont know the name of the roads i run on.  LOL....

could be a problem.

skrtrnr - 2009-10-19 6:49 AM MORNING GHOULIES.

full week on tap training wise, but then i start my pre-race taper on Saturday.  just a few more days of hard work....

i should be redeeming myself BIG TIME in the challenging standings/percentage this week.

3 runs on tap - 12 miler tomorrow, 5 miler on Thurs, 10 miler on Saturday.

i was surprised that we were on the bottom this week, but then again, these challenges are 'funny' that way....all comes down to when people finish their runs/post it to the spreadsheet.

i have every confidence that not only will be BACK on top this week, we WILL win the run challenge.

heres to us SHOW US YOUR GHOULIES!
stacieb

Wow, big time mileage week indeed!  Enjoy!  I'm sure the team will appreciate it

i hope somebody appreciates me bustin' my butt this week.

just kidding.

i know how much we ALL appreciate each other and the efforts we are ALL putting forth in this challenge.

GO GHOULIES GO!
stacieb

My non-running (until this afternoon) butt appreciates it   Just glad you are doing that type of mileage and not me.  I prefer 3 milers right now but they sure don't do much for a 1/2 mary training plan when you run them 5x a week instead of 2

awww.  your non-runnin' butt appreciates my bustin' butt.

isnt that sweet!

a kiss for your non-runnin' butt.

MWAH!

ill happier when im not running as much, i can say that, honestly.

trng for this 1/2 made me realize ALL the reasons why i switched to TRI TRNG.

from one butt to another!

Alright team I am off to the Chiro for my appointment

Well wishes, prayers, and good thoughts are appreciated.  We have to get to the bottom of the pain issue so I can work on that and get back to running, riding, and swimming like a fake triathlete needs to do.

You see I get to say I am a triathlete because I have done 1 but I like the threads, logs, and everything else (peeps) on BT too much to leave since I don't really race that often - our little secret.  I would rather ride my bike 150 miles instead of doing a sprint

Have a great afternoon!

Good luck!!!!

Just saw snow in the forecast for tonight through Saturday - I have to take the mountain bike out for sure now - Man this is torture!

no...torture would be riding a drainer!!! and never use torture in the same sentence as mtn bike! SHAME ON YOU!!!! I HEART MY MTN BIKE! even though its in pieces!

The torture is that my internet Doc told me no riding and it is supposed to snow and I love riding in the snow.

x1,000,000 on the trainer.  I was talking to a co-worker and he asked me if I did a stationary bike at all - yes for about 5 minutes and then I am done.  I would rather put 10 layers on and head outside

I am soooooooooo with you on that! I am and always will be one that will choose the outdoors over being inside! nuttin better then fresh air...and plus just seems monotonous (sp?) when pounding a treadmill or riding on a trainer. and there is truly nothing more fun then riding your mtn bikes on fire roads after a big snow - I truly revert back to my childhood and nothing but smile from ear to ear!
