triguynewbie - 2008-10-28 7:45 PM I want to get a wetsuit so I can swim through the winter. The water here never gets below the upper 60's so I should be able to swim year round?.?

In my neck of the woods, the water only gets in the upper sixties and low seventies during the peak of summer.  Unless it is a pond or small lake-but in my area they are generally really nasty.

That is why I live in Florida!

Hmmm... 5:30, I'm at work, about to leave, and my phone rings. Its X2... telling me that one of the children really LOVES carnival rides and I'd never guess who... I say "Meredith" and she says "No, Davis... let him tell you!" (They had spent the evening after school at the Coastal Empire Fair).

"Daddy, I rode all of these rides, even going upside down!"

He is tall enough to ride everything at Disneyland/California Adventure. Unfortunately, Meredith is only 40" tall so she couldn't ride California Screamin', but she could ride The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. I now have an excuse to tell them to eat their fruits and vegetables "You want to be tall enough to ride everything at Disneyland, don't you?"

Keeping up with the kids at Disney and all the rides is not easy.

Mine are pretty easy, but they'd be flying out here (their mom works for Delta, so they fly free) - we'd probably meet them down in Orange County and go to the park.

They live in one of the I states don't they. Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Idaho? Iowa sounds right?

triguynewbie - 2008-10-29 1:44 PM I am great at dishing out advice not so great at applying it. I know but I planned on doing a ton of running this month and did the October challenge and was going to have my best month ever. Now it is almost over and I am like 2 miles over what I did last month. And way behind on the bike. Not to mention I have only been to the lake to swim once and did not even end up swimming. I know why I didn't do better but I am still a bit bummed about it.

If you know why... you havea reason... if you have a reason... you can change the problem... if that is the case you have a solution.... which gives you a goal... which is motivational

I have absolutely no problem with lumping ALL "I" states together.

I also have no problem taking out a map of the US, waving my hand towards the center while declaring, "The "I" states are located somewhere over there."

Obviously, I have not spent much time in any of those "I" states.
