I went to bed at a reasonable hour last night, slept well, woke up at 5:30 and got up at 6am.

It was so nice not to feel like I was dragging myself out of bed.

Tomorrow I will be getting up by 4am.  It's a race day.

Check out this photo that was just posted to facebook.  It was take just after High School.  At the camp that I go to nearly every summer.  I am the short one.

We spent the early afternoon wallowing in the decomposing sediment muck of the mudflats.  The tide had gone out leaving mud that was 18+ inches deep and the consitency of chocolate pudding. It made lovely squelching noises and reaked something fierce.  There was a little bit of mudslinging as well.

The other gal was good at being the center of attention.

Believe it or not, I wasn't very talkative back then.

Good morning nibbs!

I am off to see a chiropractor...just for the fun of it. They are going to take some xrays and I will get to see how crooked my head is.

Yeah, see... I already know how crooked I am. I don't need to see a chiropractor for that. LOL

Mainly that my chain jammed itself in the cassette a couple of times.  I had to get off to free it up.  As far as bike problems go it was pretty minor.

Then there is my usual clumsiness trying to leave T-1.

My race report is nearing completion and it will have all the details...I dropped 3+ minutes on my half mile OWS time.    This race just felt better than the rest.  All through the swim I was thinking 'I should have trained more, I haven't swam a half mile since last fall. I think I can, I think I can...I know I can I know I can...man, I really need to get some training in if I am going to do respectably in the Oly.'

Awesome note on the swim...My navigation was excellent.  I only found myself off course a couple of times, and that was just by the tiniest fraction of a bit.  I was still swimming a better line than nearly everybody else.  Ackkk...I should just be writing this in my RR and get it done.
