Well I managed to get my 100 miler in today.  I didn't get to leave as early as I wanted to because it was still storming at 5:30 when I initially woke up.  I enjoyed an extra hour and half of sleep until the sun woke me.  Unfortunately the storm left some pretty strong winds around and the later departure meant the temps had gotten up to 90 for the last couple hours.

I survived though, and was pretty happy with how things turned out.  Now I'm going to see how many recovery beers it takes to put me to sleep

NICE!  I did a 100 miler exactly once in my life.  Many years ago.  I do, however, remember that it was 2 recovery beers to put me out for the evening.

Rest well, Neal.

(Neal...Don't worry...I will still take you down at Yellowstone...somehow...I will gain super powers...Tongue out)

This is the exact opposite for me and my brother.  I'm 4 years younger was NEVER able to take him.  Finally last winter I was able to beat the crap out of him and have the pictures to prove it!  Now it may have been that he was much more intoxicated than I was, but the details escape me.

Haha. If only I could still take him down...I probably couldn't take him down even if he was intoxicated and I was sober...I've hit him in the recent past and he just kind of looks at me like "wtf are you trying to do? really, you're trying to hurt me? bahahahah...good one" Then he will wind up and pretend to hit me back...because he knows he would be in deep $&%# if he actually did. Haha...so at least I have that?

I'm sure you must be very proud of yourself for one uping your brother. Haha. Did you frame the pictures? Tongue out...Has he taken you since then...if so, then you have lost the title...

Not framed, but they're floating around my computer somewhere.  I'll try and find them once the recovery beers wear off....

And we haven't tussled since.  We used to live together and he moved in with his girlfriend last summer so our hanging out/we're bored, let's drink time has drastically decreased.

So the tanline thing.  I spaced on the sunscreen this morning.  My route was 2 50 mile loops with a stop at my apartment to refill bottles and bento box and I distinctly remember telling myself while coming in after the first loop to not forget the sunscreen again.  Yup, spaced it off again.  Not too bad but I have a nice red strip on my bicep because the jersey I wore was slightly shorter than the last one so I have a 2 inch red stripe around the arm.  Pretty hot if you ask me

On the plus side, at least you can cover yours!

How do I cover this?...haha

Onioned flavored something or other:

Good for a marginal amount of time before you throw the rest of the bag away.

First off, congrats on the 100k.  If you're like me you are ravenous after a ride.  NEVER go grocery shopping hungry.  Your pocketbook will thank you

Thx Neal! I feel like a zombie right now...so my posts might not make sense...haha

Well 1) technically I'm not spending my money...it was grocery shopping for the house...and my grandfather won't let me pay...he leaves money in strategic zones and hassles me to take it...so its not my pocketbook perse...2) I had a list and I only bought what was put on the list...(Okay...maybe I added a couple of things...maybe...)

Well, I'm understanding your posts.  Not sure what that means....

Not your pocketbook?  Watch out!  I'd have problems getting through the store.  Oooh, ice cream!  Oooh funyuns!  Oooh lucky charms!  Oooh steak!  Yeah that money would be gone quickly.

Maybe it means that you are a zombie too? haha.

I did buy ice cream..and I'll buy steak when I'm back in Alberta...Its just not the same on the coast...I'll eat fish while I can. Lucky charms=blech

what are funyuns? (I have never heard of this term, nor seen it in Canadian grocery stores...)

Onioned flavored something or other:

Good for a marginal amount of time before you throw the rest of the bag away.

Lucky charms......what?  What is wrong with you?

Those look gross...not going to lie to you...and we def don't have them in Canada...(there is probably a reason for this...haha)

Nothing is wrong with me!!!  SurprisedI don't like those flash frozen marshmellows!!! (PS...I know how they flash freeze them...don't ask why I know things like this)...

I like non-sugar cereal...like...multigrain cheerios..and shreddies...rice crispies...chex...

Please don't tell me you like Trix too? cough cough gag hack blech*

disturbed275 - 2010-06-26 8:05 PM So the tanline thing.

I have sunscreen in my bento...little spray bottle...I forget sometimes at home and apparently my blonde/blue eyed fair complexion doesn't appreciate sun?

On the plus side, at least you can cover yours!

How do I cover this?...haha

Ingenious idea on the spray bottle in the bento box today.  It might have saved me.  Not sure about covering but I'll sure look weird on my shirtless runs this week

It might have...It might have...

I have a ridiculous amount of first aid stuff on me when I'm riding if I think about it...gauze, compression bandage, polysporin...bandaids...this little roll of tape...tylenol...

Ya...I'm cool like that...I'm like a boy scout...

Holy crap!  I bring more stuff to repair my bike than I do myself.  If I go down on the road I'm riding home bleeding and in pain

Going to scavenge more food...

Actually I am not a fan of the sugared cereals.  Rice chex is my all time favorite.  Let it get slightly soggy and mmmmmmmm!!!
