I am SO doing this next year:

No, I'm not doing the sequel to XXX, but a long-course duathlon in Auburn, California - just a few miles from Sacramento... that has 6000' of climbing in the bike and the run is at the bottom of the American River Canyon that the Corvette above went BOOM real good in XXX. That bridge they drove that off of is the highest bridge in California. Description of run course by a guy at my tri-club last night "Its a b!tch."

Run 3k, ride 56 miles, run a half-marathon. The canyon is only 1500' feet up so oxy won't be a problem, but I'm thinking of not racing during February so I can drive up there and practice riding in the canyon.

Auburn International Duathlon

That Duathlon sounds really cool, I would like to do something like that. I haven't seen anything in my area that has such a long bike and second run.

Morning! Ive got to get moving... got to get my punctured (car) tire fixed on the way to work... will catch up on what I missed when I get back!

Oh and spokes.... the problem with the chick is probably that she has a hot body but her face just doesnt do it for me...

But if she could get me a free or cheap bianchi I wouldnt say no

Even if it meant (temporarily) batting for the other team?

Oh, and Cat - if she just called me, said she was totally in love with me, I'd beat the flucking plane to Vegas flapping my arms. Seriously. LOL

I think she is incredibly hot and cute and I'd do her until my body parts started falling off, OK?

Well you know I LOVE bikes!!!! Her... not so much... (so many things to say here and so many of them mean... Im sure she is a lovely girl but I dont look at her and think hot - hot body sure)

Someone kick me out I really need to leave!

Hey Cat - did you get your tire fixed?

oh, and you should work or something - (was that convincing?)

stay Cat, stay and play!

$200 and a brand new tire later I made it to work And it looks like I am going to need another tire and a wheel alignment next week... grrrrr.....

And here's my spiffy new tri-club visor...

I need to get one of those. I always run with a ball cap but my hat will be soaking wet on my head before I'm finished. One of those would be better.

I have a running hat from Under Armor... it is pretty awesome as far as not soaking like a ball cap would be and keeping my head cool.

Here is a clothed photo of me (middle person)... the three of us gave a presentation on how our products increase usability for our customers

Judging from the cake, it looks like it was a presentation worthy of celebration...

Ehhh...1 1/2 hr. meeting sorting concepts into benefit buckets...yeah, you think YOUR job is fun...

Off-line tonight...2 of my kids have jazz concerts tonight...I know the question will come up, so son #1 plays piano in the high school jazz band, daughter plays clarinet and piano in the 7th grade jazz band.

And incidently, Spokes played guitar in his high school jazz band, a couple best soloist awards...I played alto and soprano sax in my high school band with a couple best soloist awards...

Jazz...it's what's for dinner...

Umm first clarinet here in jazz band, concert band and orchestra I admire your sax abilities, I used to pick up alto as a side project whenver a band was short Id get called in, actually owned a soprano sax for awhile. ...

Thats some nice skills you have!

I play B flat clarinet and B flat bass clarinet. I can play some piano. I play guitar like a monster jazz/rock GAWD! I can play pretty good heavy metal drums, and bass guitar as long as I keep most of the lines/phrasing around the root of the chord.

Id love to have a piano... I was a decidly average player but loved to use it for composition work!

Also did a bit of flute, violin and (this is embrassing) played the recorder for 13 years in various baroque and classical ensembles etc all through high school. I actually owned a VERY expensive set of wooden recorders that my mum now has... no idea why I didnt give it up until I got into the world of work...

Thats some nice skills you have!

Wow, Aren't we the musical group... Trumpet & French Horn in High School and college, now I just sing in church choir.

I LOVE the sound of recorders!  Can't be duplicated...

Tada!

Just got done doing a bunch of squats, deadlifts, leg curls & calf raises and now I'm heading out on a run, LMAO!!!

Definitely doing the run in about 30 minutes though, the other stuff I quit doing long ago!

Have a good night everyone and train well, I'll TRY and catch up tomorrow

Thanks, Donto!

Didn't take you long to fit right onto this team, did it?

Is this a cool team, or what? People posting pics that show off their well-developed legs, calves, arms, etc.... This is SO much better than sitting on the couch watching TV. LOL
