Does that mean you're not visiting Beth? lastcall2003 - 2008-07-09 1:43 PM Cat! what a marvelous post! we are honored to be a part of your life the Tour de France challenge is the one that started it all..........we just jumped on the train without knowing it kudos to my friend across the globe! who knows, maybe someday we will actually meet - but in the meantime, isn't great that we have all *met*?
It will happen... Ive been talking about a trip over there for the longest time... Ive culled the cities I will visit to make it doable... Now I need to have a good time financially to make it work next year... we will see... Lol I dont know... y'all need to draw me a map and show me where you are close to... From my original list Im still thinking: Seattle, Chicago, Boston, NYC, Washington, Florida, Vegas, San Fran.... Brandon, MS is nice But yeah, I'd go with Chicago, Boston, and NYC for sure. I'm only an hour from NYC by train
Free place to crash, too. Which tends to rate way high on the key points of my vacations. |

The most prestigious cycling event in the world, the Tour de France, is back for its 18th year on SBS and to celebrate the three week long race (no we are not making you race bikes in the Atrium again) staff are asked to get into the spirit of le Tour and dress in your favourite cycling gear on Friday 11 July. If you're not partial to lycra and don't own a pair of bike shorts or a cycling jersey but want to join in, then dress in black and gold, the colours of the Tour, instead. On Friday morning, a panel of judges including {names removed} will make their way around the building to invite the best dressed staff, who have embraced the festivities, to participate in the "fashion on the bike" parade at 3:00pm in the Atrium. The best dressed female and male in the "fashion on the bike" parade, chosen by our very own stylist, {removed}, will each win a bottle of French Champagne. haha well only if I can figure out what to be! |

No. I recorded it this morning and watched it when I got home. Im doing my very best not to say anything outside of the TF forum to give away anything.. its hard when thats my life at the moment.... Im waiting for someone to start an Astana thread... all the snide comments are annoying me so Im hoping someone will start one so everyone can vent in a safe place (away from me ) I feel bad for Levi and that's all I have to say about Astana. They're not there, lets move on and enjoy how crazy (and great) the racing has been so far.
Do you think so many people here would be making comments on it if Levi was on another team but the rest was the same? Yeah, mainly because of Contador and Bruyneel. |

Best time to hold it would be late February/early March, or move it to the fall, but the South is so football crazy I think he'd have a hard time finding a weekend where people weren't fixated on some lame football game. There are no lame He's starting a Crit series now, along with a training course of sorts to get people involved in them. I would be all over it, but the last thing I want to do is get close with the pavement before my HIM training kicks in. New Orleans is on my mind right now, so maybe next year. |
