They don't have anything posted yet, it's a New York Road Runners race, nyrr.org. They are just local races, nothing special, but they do a whole series with one half-mary in each borough. Manhattan and Bronx in the winter, Brooklyn in the spring, then Staten Island and Queens in the fall. I've done all but Bronx and Brooklyn. Although I'm not aiming to do all or anything, I just do whatever fits on the schedule! Manhattan is fun because it's in Central Park, a lot of people really like that if they don't get to run there much. But it's hard, very hilly!
hmmmmmm, I'm not really a very strong runner - and my normal route is really flat - if we do the one in Central Park, I'll need to find a new route or plan on walking more of it or both thoughts on it for a first 1/2 Mary? It's definitely challenging, a couple of the hills are killer, but you could walk them. It's beautiful to run there. Let's wait and see what the courses are, they haven't posted yet. If Bronx is not all on the streets, it could be fun. It takes about an hour to get up there from midtown though, so that's a consideration. They should post the course descriptions soon then we can pick one!
