chartierm22 - 2008-11-21 2:25 PM Chris hows px90 or what ever its called?

It's going well. Thanks to the Plyo work. I even was able to jump over Tam (tnickerson) in Jenn's (junglejenn) class today. Of course she was laying on the floor. Who sez' Triathletes can't jump!
I put todays workout on the spreadsheet but that makes me at 6 again this week. I can't do that can I?

Off to eat something. You all have a great night

Afernoon all,

Ok I dug up some photos, Kind of hard to tell the curly hair cuz its so dark but its kind of Big ringlets.

and straigh:

Sorry second one is kind of crappy pic.  But I didn't have much to choose from.  Being the mom I'm generally the one taking the pics.

They both look really good, but I love the straight. Very nice!

x2!

Is there info on the races that would be worth looking at?

They don't have anything posted yet, it's a New York Road Runners race, nyrr.org. They are just local races, nothing special, but they do a whole series with one half-mary in each borough. Manhattan and Bronx in the winter, Brooklyn in the spring, then Staten Island and Queens in the fall. I've done all but Bronx and Brooklyn. Although I'm not aiming to do all or anything, I just do whatever fits on the schedule!

Manhattan is fun because it's in Central Park, a lot of people really like that if they don't get to run there much. But it's hard, very hilly!

hmmmmmm, I'm not really a very strong runner - and my normal route is really flat - if we do the one in Central Park, I'll need to find a new route or plan on walking more of it or both

thoughts on it for a first 1/2 Mary?

It's definitely challenging, a couple of the hills are killer, but you could walk them. It's beautiful to run there. Let's wait and see what the courses are, they haven't posted yet. If Bronx is not all on the streets, it could be fun. It takes about an hour to get up there from midtown though, so that's a consideration. They should post the course descriptions soon then we can pick one!

sounds good!  I'm sooooo excited - waidaminute - who said that

(I never thought I would ever do a 1/2 mary, let alone be excited about it )

Thanks! Don't worry, I'll be on the move for hours and hours a day. I rent an Amsterdam bike when I arrive and ride everywhere, plus walk a ton. I'll have an easier time getting my workouts in there than here!

My husband and I went to Africa in 2003 and had a several hour layover there on the way home. I had been there a few times in college because my dad lived there so we hopped on a train and spent the day in the city. We loved it and decided to come back for Thanksgiving that year because we didn't have any vacation time left and could use the long weekend. We decided to make it an annual tradition. Now I just can't imagine being anywhere else at Thanksgiving and we have so many friends there. It's so fun to have a place you know so well that you can just relax.

actually maybe if you didn't run for the next 2 months and I did, we could start the cocktail hour earlier

as in, you'd be slower and I'd be faster

LOL!
