lastcall2003 - 2009-04-25 6:55 PM so what was the email about?????
Well, I was hoping to avoid the email issues, but since you and Phil ask....
(insert evil laughter here
).... Remember that coworker who gave 20 min notice, and walked out the door.... Then the boss hired her back part-time.
(Even though she's working full-time elsewhere, and this probably constitutes a conflict of interest
)..... Well, my boss
(let's call her X
), sent out an email to everyone in the department saying that since the economy is bad, we're cutting back, etc etc etc.... So if we can't accommodate
(insert client names here
), we should just refer them to
(insert name of former coworker
) at
(insert name of company
). I hit reply-all, fired off a response that made my taser collection look feeble, and hit send.

Of course, several minutes afterwards, when other brain cells began firing again, I decided that maybe I'd better read the email I'd just sent.... Then I figured, "Eh. Who cares." And I went off to do something else.

Within two minutes, I had a reply from a coworker who said, "That sound you just heard was X's head exploding." But then she added that she felt my email was justified, addressed the issue, and even was "tactful."
(I had to look that last word up in the dictionary. I don't think I've ever seen it before....
) Oh, no response back from the boss. But later on, she sent another email to the department, and ended it with, "If you have any comments, I'm sure you'll let me know."
