I have heard lots about the bike swap but have never been. I think you need to submit a report on it! I would go myself but have to work this weekend.

Yeah, that seems to be the case with everyone this weekend... work!   I tried to get one of my co-workers to go with me, but they all had to work   Well, looks like I'm goin gon my own, which may be good cause then I can just focus on my mission... come home with a bike.

Oooh bike swap? Do the bikes come with riders? Can you swap those too? Can you swap a bike for a rider???

I'm off for the longest ride of my life. Will report back--with pics! 

It's snowing in Atlanta.  Yup, third snow this winter.  Yes, yes it was 70 degrees a couple of days ago.  I've lived here for 7 years and it's snowed a total of 4 times.  Point being... no riding outside today.  I suppose I could but, uhhhh... snow and wind not so much in the princess temperature/conditions range .

Indoor cycling (teaching a class) and a trainer ride for me.

I hope its awesome!!!!!

Did an easy ride with a member from my cycling club. Felt good and bad- but that's all due to pre race jitters.... 30 hours from now I will cross my first triathlon finish line!

Well, I'm back from the bike swap... and I'm empty handed.  I saw MUCH better deals on e-bay than at the swap.  I was almost tempted to splurge and get a brand new Specialized ($649) but it had components that I recall people saying weren't the greatest (Shimano Tiagra shifter and Shimano Sora RDerailer)

Left there and went to a bike shop someone told me about... fell in love with Lime Green Cannondale (almost a grand).

Well, back to surfing the internet for more research and pricing.

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Have a great race tomorrow.  We are all looking forward to hearing about it .  Enjoy every moment.

You all are awfully quiet today...  I guess it's because you're out riding your bikes!  Hopefully you are at about 25% of your goal by the end of today.

REMINDER!!! Week 1 of challenge finishes on Sunday - PLEASE make sure your team is updated for week 1 by the end of the day Monday as I will be trying to have an update posted for the challenge by the time the USA wakes up on Tuesday morning.

If your team is using google spreadsheet I will be logging on and grabbing your week 1 totals from there... if your team is using another method or reporting please let me know in the team leaders thread and post the results there.

Update will include:

- General challenge gossip from all teams

- the % of goal achieved by team

- Any major individual achievements mentioned in the team threads

I finished my sprint triathlon. My first ever!!!!  And I didn't puke (came close but didn't)

and the bike was the best part of the day!!!! 

Awesome.  Congratulations, Triathlete!  Looking forward to reading your race report .  The bike is always the best part of the day.  Oh wait.  I think I'm slightly biased... carry on...

Super congratulations, Jeni ... you are an AWESOME TRIATHLETE! Way to go! I know you did much better than you thought you would, so even more kudos.

Goooooood Morning Powerful Pedaling Proud Pink Peeps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A few things:

1.  Please be sure to update the google spreadsheet if you logged any bike miles yesterday.  I updated it on Saturday. 

2.  Congratulations!  As a team we are doing GREAT.  Almost everyone is close to 25% of their goals and as a team we are rockin' it at 31.33% of total.  Giddyup.

3.  If you're not at about 25% yet, you still have some time to catch up, but uhhhh, don't make me get all pink suede and fuzzy whip on you (yup, it's true, I have a new one, right Bill?).

4.  Congrats to Sandi for already being at 106%!  If you find that you reach your goal early in the challenge we can adjust your goal.
