tlnewman30 - 2008-07-02 2:48 PM I didn't know that the run challenge really meant scrabulous challenge.  That's sneaky!!! I like it.
Yeah, we're sneaky like that. I mean, when you wake up at 5 a.m. to get your exercise done what is there to actually do the rest of the day???

I try not to get up that early.  Plus maybe work, of course I haven't been there since May 28th, but I am going back on July 7th.

I hate fun wall because I end up with some really horrible things on my profile page that I don't want to be associated with.

Howdy folks! Well my mini tri sucked. Or rather I sucked. I got a pretty good swim in, did 2 loops instead of 1 but at the end of the swim I heard thunder and saw lightning so I high tailed it out of the lake. I bagged the bike AND the run because I my pants at thunderstorms. I always have. that I am. Instead I ran at the gym and lo and behold if I didn't break my 5K PR!!!!!!! On a farking TREADMILL! HAHAHAHHA. Felt so easy running and I noticed that my HR was MUCH, MUCH, lower. Good thing. Good thing. See what quitting smoking can do to you? I love it. I did walk 4 minutes of this, the rest all ran. I feel good about that Now, about the bike. Hmmm. Yes. Another story.

Hello everyone! Wow I checked this thread 24 hours ago and there was only one post, now there are eight pages!!! Geez you guys move fast. Is it too late to join this challenge? I've been wanting to do a challenge for ages and this is perfect.

I am currently training for a 1/2 marathon in September and I'm following one of the BT training programs. So far I've been going very well but the next month is going to be challenging because I'm going on an overseas holiday! I know that I can't stop training or else I'll lose all my fitness, but I probably won't be able to do as much as I have been so far. At this stage I am running about 100-120kms per month, so I am going to put my goal as 80kms for this coming month.

A little bit about me - I live in Australia, in a town called Perth on the west coast. I'm 28 years old, married almost 4 years, no kids but I have a cat, a dog and a tank full of fish. I've been competing in triathlons since 2006. I started off completely unfit and a total non-runner, I've improved a lot since then but I'm still slower than the average. It will be my first 1/2 marathon in September, and then I'm aiming for a HIM in May 09, as well as a few sprint tris through the summer.

On our holiday we'll be going to a wedding in Ireland, followed by a trip to New York and then to see some family in Vancouver. I'm really excited, we leave on the 12th of July.
