I don't know if I will sleep. The sleep medication makes me tired and wired all at the same time, and when I finally go to sleep, it's disturbed sleep and I wake up tired-er.

It is better than not sleeping at all and sobbing uncontrollably most of the night.

I have had sleep problems on and off for years. I have taken various medications for them....ARE YOU THERE YANTI...If you continue to have problems, see about trying a different med...OR AM I TALKING TO MYSELF AGAIN...I'm currently taking ambien and sonata when needed.

Ambien if I have not slept for a couple of days. I take sonata when I wake up in the middle of the night wired or have racing thoughts(or I am really excited about an upcoming event and know that I will be up all night from anticipation). Sonata is nice because it only stays in your system for an hour or so...you can take it at 3am and not be drugged in the morning.

Black outs are not good. I had bad reactions to Lunesta-maybe butterflies don't agree with me.

I was happy when I got sonata as a generic recently. Saving money is always good. I rarely take ambien anymore-the sonata is usually enough( although there are a few nights that I have taken it twice.
