I got bitten by a dog at work yesterday. He was a big, nasty shepherd and he was muzzled but he still managed to get me through the muzzle. Luckily its nothing serious because the muzzle prevented him from getting his mouth open too far - so its just a bit of skin missing. The funniest thing though is the first thing I thought (after %^#*!!!) was "I hope this doesn't interfere with me riding aero on the weekend LOL!!!!

My hubby & I are painting my house at the moment. We're doing it ourselves in stages, when we get a spare minute. Anyway last night we were painting doors and using oil-based semi-gloss paint. That stuff is such a pain to get off your skin, you need to use turpentine! I have cleaned my arms & face so I can face the public, but my legs are still splotchy! Luckily I wear long pants to work

OK I am running out of interesting things to say now. I don't want to post-pad and talk about nothing! What does everyone have planned for the weekend? Its Fri evening here now so I'm already thinking about it!

On Saturday I am going to join my running group at 7am, we normally do about 8-10k, tomorrow is going to be a difficult hilly run so I won't enjoy it! Then I'll be painting for a few hours. Then my husband has a one-on-one swimming technique lesson he got as a gift for his birthday. So while he's having that I'll prolly join him at the pool and swim a few laps. Then in the evening we're going to the opera - tres chic! We're seeing Aida. Apparently its long. I hope there are subtitles

On Sunday I want to do a long-ish cycle in the morning whilst hubby is suitably distracted surfing. Then there'll be MORE painting and then I am attending a baby shower in the afternoon.

I *heart* my swimming pool. Its outdoors but its geo-thermally heated so its a balmy 28C all year round. In the middle of winter there is steam coming off it. Its lovely!

PS - I don't know how much 28C is in F. OK I just worked it out. Its about 83F

I also *heart* my running group. I was introduced to them by a friend. They're a bunch of mostly older ladies who run together several times a week, but I only run with them on Saturdays. They're all quite amazing, some have done the Comrades Marathon (89k) etc but we all currently run at a nice, relaxing, enjoyable pace. I never really enjoyed running until I started running with them

Grew up in northern Mich, where in the winter snow would easily get up to the waist, and winter lasted most of the year.

"Northern Michigan" just makes me think of that Kid Rock song LOL! I think its one of the lyrics

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that song!!! You are going to fit right in this team btw!

Ummm yeah... its never snowed anywhere Ive lived...

Doesn't it snow in NZ???

I lived in Dunedin for a year and we got heaps (admittedly 20k inland from the coast). Or are you from the North Island?

North Island - I lived in Christchurch for 2 years and it got to minus 10 or less but NEVER snowed while i was living there... it snows there some years... but not for me!

eurydice79 - 2008-10-31 1:46 AM OK looks like there isn't anyone else on here. It must be the middle of the night for most people. Its 4.45pm here. I'll just talk to myself! I've learnt some bad habits from JoeMac3 (champion post padder LOL).

Joe is good but just what till you meet Phil (1stTimeTri).  You will see what posting is all about.

We are sopposed to get off work early today so we can spend time with family.  Guess that means Bandit (my 5 year old Beagle) and I will have to give out candy tonight since Luara is still traveling.
