Finally scored some points...now I have to figure out how to add them up.  A photo post-ride Friday afternoon for everyone's crappy enjoyment.  We had a great ride!  Started with nothing, then face pelting sleet, then giant wet flakes of snow, and the finale was rivers of Ammonium Sulfide that looks like soapy floods.

Had a blast.

This looks simply awesome!!!!

Yay!  I loved taking my kids to Walden Pond when we lived out there.

Feels like the chinook winds here in New England.  Except I don't think they actually have a name here....there's really no mountains in Boston.  But its rainy and 62 degrees.

Question for Bill......I was out for a long ride last week. Rode for a total of 3.5 hours.....the day started out cold.....got a bit warmer then got cold again. I just took a guess and logged 2 hours that I figured were in the realm of crap points. But i wonder how you do this? Short of having a portable thermometer? I know I am splitting hairs.......but i want to be fair about it. This will also be an issue when ski season comes....if you are out for a nice long ski the temp changes throughout the day.??

I also have a question since I am having trouble logging crappy miles.  Does my morning commute on the bike count?  It is 3 miles long and takes about 10 minutes.  The time and points would add up over the whole winter as it is still dark and COLD when I'm riding.  I don't log this as training so I didn't think it would count but I thought I'd ask anyway.

For those of you who haven't used Wunderground yet it is a great tool.  Here are the weather data from my lunch time ride....Didn't have any time periods when I could have scored points!!!!  It needs to get colder but they are calling for 50's and sun all week!

Sure - you are outside and it is crappy enough for points to be accumulted!

That changes the game considerably for me...time to rack up some points.  Thanks!

So far, it looks like I'm one of few with cold weather.  Anyone want to trade locations to pick up some CWWC pts?   It was 19* on my run this morning and the trails were snowpacked and icy.

I wouldn't mind some snow. These temps around 40 are kind of boring.

Never mind -- it hit 70* the last few days down in Denver basin -- just what I needed!  Got some great rides in.  It will be cold again by Sunday for my long run tho -- perfect timing

Dang! I thought for sure I'd get some points today. I'm in NC for a bit and normally would not expect to get any points in this weather -- BUT TODAY it's 38 degrees! But alas, not cold enough for the challenge. Oh well ....

If you would have been back in WI you could have gotten some points, it was 26 this morning when I want for a run.

I've enjoyed the nice weather we've had in November, but it looks like colder days are coming.  Maybe now I can rack up some points!

Susan posted a good site - weatherunderground - I don't know if it works up north but they show the hourly temperature and you can adjust by temp point and the amount of time you guess you spent there!

I will leave it up to your integrity that you are being fair about it!

I tought I had made some points this morning but after looking at the above mentionned site it appears the temperature was at 35.1 when we started our run. But we had winds in excess of 20mph....Well it will be for another day....

I'm definitely in. Anything to motivate me out into the cold.

I'm assuming the rules are somewhere in this thread? I'm gonna go look. If not, could someone let me know what they are? Thanks!
