OK, this sums it all up. Too bad Beth isn't keeping Nibbins Notes anymore. 'Cause this would be perfect.

They really are words to live by.  I wish my dad were still around to dole that kind of advice out.  Oh, and I forgot to add never put anything smaller than your fist in your ears or nostrils.

I might have to use my dad's list in my blog tomorrow.  That's some good material .

I always tell me patients that they're only allowed to put their elbow in their ears. Very few have not tried it on the spot (you know you all are trying it right now!)

You know, now that you mention it, I do believe it mighta been nothing smaller than your elbow in your ear, and fist in your nostrils.  They must standardize that elbow thing for all medical training .

Ok Nibbs i have a dilema...

today in Sydney it is a clear skies, sunny day - a MASSIVE change from the gray and the rain that I have got so used to...

Tonight I was going to go swimming, which would be about 6:00pm (sun doesnt set until around 8pm) but my sunburn is well, some is still sore, some is flaking skin and some is a pink colour.... so (Im not at risk of missing my swim goal) do I swim in the daylight? (yes with sunscreen) or give my skin one more day to heal?

I say you swim in a wetsuit .

Don't take any risks with your skin, Cat.  Give it another day.

Dear Santa,

Due to my incredibly fair skin, this year for christmas i would like a wetsuit.

I would also like a plane ticket to CT, race fees, a new bike (because a girl always needs a new bike), all my debts paid for and a plane ticket for my mum to come to Australia for awhile.

Everything else I can take care of eventually.

Much Love

Cat

Thanks ladies - I think you are 100% right... plus im VERY tired AND have the house to myself tonight so PJs, some chick flick, recipe books and maybe a takeaway might be a better way to heal my skin that swimming!

Good morning earlybird nibbs. Heading off to run a training class this morning. No computer time while there.

Sal, LOL the swim cap.

Mila, 4 hours sleep. Got to go to bed girl.

Yanti, again I ask, Does Yanti ever sleep?

Sharon, hope you are feeling a lot better today.

Cat, are you still awake? (Guess you would be a late bird, not an earlybird.)

YOU CAN RUN, BUT YOU CAN"T HIDE!

I FOUND YOU!

A new Nibbins? Already?

I swam today! That puts me at 16,300 yards for December so far.

My original goal was 16,500 due to pool closings this month. I'm ahead of where I'd planned to be (yay!), so I'm going to raise my goal.

New goal:
22,300 yards.

We had some unexpected visitors at the pool today. So swimming has been more, um, "exciting" than I had anticipated. (Check my log if you want more info....)

And now..... I need to go back and read not only the first 3 pages of this thread, but check in on the OLD one, to see if I missed anything of importance.

(Importance? On Nibbins?)

Yuck - swim visitors. double yuck!

barqhead - 2007-12-13 4:59 PM Question for the Nibbins. Can a 37 mommy pull off a Victoria Beckham hairstyle? My hair was super short of the summer and I'm growing it out a tad. Really like the short in the back, long in the front thing she has going on. Opinions?

Just b/c you're 37 and a mom doesn't mean you can't wear what's in style (so be it hair or clothes)

I say go for it and be the cool, hip mom that you are!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks. My mom is always against those trying to act too young and what is age appropriate. So I'm a bit paranoid about it.

Where whatever style you want to wear... age is just a number!  I'll bet that you will look hot in the cut.  And, if you were 67, and asking the same question, I'd still tell you to go for it!

All right, Sharon! I like to wear things and have my hair styled in ways that make me happy. But I don't want to look like a total dork either.

Pam, I've seen that hairstyle on women of many ages. I personally think that if a style looks good on you then it's the right one for you. The nice thing about hair, it usually grows back. Go for it.

PS - it really is a timeless style. I had that style in the late 80's.
