Subject: RE: PT Freaks Team Thread - Nov USMC ChallengeKettlebells are like a cannon ball with a handle. The weight is distributed differently than dumbells and they're really useful for doing circuit strength training so you get a bit of cardio and resistance training all in one. There are tones of videos on youtube, just search for kettlebell. I made up a routine for myself, but I think I might have over did it on the single leg squats. My calves were sooo tight yesterday I could hardly walk. They feel better today. Already got about an hour of walking in to loosen them up. Had my advising appointment yesterday and I sign up for spring classes Monday morning first thing. Only need 10 more hours to graduate, but I need at least 2 more to be full time. Was thinking about taking like 3 fun classes putting me up to 20 hours. But I had the brilliant idea to take a foriegn language bringing me to 14 hours and use the $300-400 I'll save on buying books to get a new road bike. Anyone got any ideas on good brands? |
