Kettlebells are like a cannon ball with a handle. The weight is distributed differently than dumbells and they're really useful for doing circuit strength training so you get a bit of cardio and resistance training all in one. There are tones of videos on youtube, just search for kettlebell.

I made up a routine for myself, but I think I might have over did it on the single leg squats. My calves were sooo tight yesterday I could hardly walk. They feel better today. Already got about an hour of walking in to loosen them up.

Had my advising appointment yesterday and I sign up for spring classes Monday morning first thing. Only need 10 more hours to graduate, but I need at least 2 more to be full time. Was thinking about taking like 3 fun classes putting me up to 20 hours. But I had the brilliant idea to take a foriegn language bringing me to 14 hours and use the $300-400 I'll save on buying books to get a new road bike. Anyone got any ideas on good brands?

What's up freaks? Just earned another point with a 37 minute swim. I did 1800y and my shoulder only hurts a little. I kind of want to run, but I have so much to do and I'm tired so I might just skip it!

He's a really friendly and funny guy in real life, too!  He's one of the Donkai Nation, to which I'm a member of.  I've met him, and he was the one that did most of the interviews and video work for the IM Moo training day video that is posted on BT.  He wanted to interview me since I already did the previous year's IM Moo.

Revbigdog - 2008-11-06 1:58 AM Just dropping in to say, "Morning all."  Got my masters swim in this morning and am trying out rollers for the first time tonight...ready to see if I can get road rash from carpet!

What are rollers?

They're scary. It's like a trainer where you can ride indoors, but your bike isn't attached. It's a three-bar thing that you have to balance on, so if you can't keep your balance, you can totally wipe out. I'll stick with the trainer, I suck enough on my bike and can't imagine having to admit to everyone that I crashed in my living room! LOL!

Ha! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGBkrnE5WbY

Another good one! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7UFwHWSnGM&feature=related

I like that he wore a helmet.

I had a neighbor that had rollers, and he was pretty good on them.

wow - I managed to get through page 53 to 78 tonight after work. I am going to have 1 post every 30 pages it looks like.

I got 30 min in today point 6 this weekend. Took it easy with just a 1 mile run with walking the rest of the 30 min. Did 2 miles and 30 elliptical last night and the legs didn't want to move tonight. Will try for more tomorrow.

Stacie

Great job, dimply-pooper!   *<-- Yeah, yeah, that didn't sound good at all, but it is funny*

LazyMarathoner - 2008-11-07 1:26 PM Ladies, I just stopped at the friendly neighborhood wine shop and as I approached, I noticed a fire truck out front. My first thought was "sweet jesus, the place better not be on fire because I need a drink." Then I go in and while I'm waiting to pay, 3 gorgeous firemen came in to find out about shutting off the water. Is it a required to be hot to join the fire department? So I got a nice serving of eye candy to go with my wine

Maybe its just that men look hotter in uniform... you should get them out of their uniforms and then pass judgement...

hehe! nice one Cat!

They'er just as hot out of them...well at lest the one I'm married to is. He's actually a re-tired Firefighter/Marine...I think he's double hot. And no he's not standing over my shouder reading.  Good morning Freaks!! Just stopping by on a break while I wait for materials to show up to the job. Yall' just amaze me with your posting. Well gotta go check on the delivery.

Chris
