Well, I can't tell you what EVERYONE is doing this weekend, with a few billion people on this earth, it's hard to keep track , but I can tell you that I'll be jockstrapping at a race tomorrow for some Donkai Nation teammates. I'm a member of a group of BT members, most of who are from Wisconsin, that call themselves the Donkey/Donkai Nation, or Donkeys, or Donks. We're a lively bunch. This is the race and it's a blast -
Ok I have to ask, about how far is that from the South Bend indiana area? I know a lot of peeps down here that would LOVE that kind of race. It's not that far at all. I've done the drive from Berrien Springs, MI, about 30 miles north of South Bend, to Madtown a few times. It's about 4-4.5 from Michigan so figure a little closer for you. It takes about 2 hours from Chicago, I usually just fly there and have someone pick me up. My family is in Madison now so I'll find myself spending a bit of time there. So, I expect to see ya there tomorrow. Call and I'll come and pick ya up. TOPPAGE!!!!!!!!!!! Edited by 1stTimeTri 2008-11-07 12:10 PM |

I have a 5 mile trail race, over hay bales and obstacles and through the woods to grandma's house i will go!!! Should be a blast and the weather should be perfect. Kristin you should come up, it is only in Greenwich, i can pick you up at the train station!!! That sounds awesome! When is it? I love fun races like that. There is one down in the DC area that I'd like to do next year called Run Amuck, it's an obstacle 5K that involve crawling through the mud. My kind of race! This Sunday, the kids 1 miler starts at 10 am, adults that want to be kids after that, i would guess somewhere around 10:30-11:00. Let me know. |

Chris (Chrisrunzs26)- is married to a retired Firefighter/Marine, so it goes without saying that he’s double hot! Stacie (Dimplespoo)- Popped in during the lively discussion about Pop Tarts, which was preceded by a conversation about wine (big surprise, NOT! –lol!). Her favorite flavor is the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. She made her way through pages 53 to 78 in one sitting – quite impressive! Magda (Eurydice79) – it was the second day/night (depending on which part of the world you are in) that Magda got to chat with ‘real’ people! After achieving her first goal of the posting challenge, she exclaimed I did it!!! I got through ALL the posts, with a minute to spare!!! . Demonstrating her competive spirit and desire to reach set and reach new goals, she’s contemplating a new one I had a < 400 post count before I joined this thread! I wonder if I can get to 1000 by the end of the month ... hmmm may be a bit ambitious Phil (1stTimeTri)- always a giver, Phil quickly responded to Cat’s request for help on how to ‘shake her groove thing’ by posting a link to an helpful video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4Dapf_NKcE. He had a most excellent swim, although had a bit of trouble concentrating. Poor Phil had to share his lane with 2 different pace booties poor guy LOL! *whoops, watch out for that wall* Jenn (Jenni4) – stopped in just in time for the ‘what’s everyone doing this weekend conversation – she is going to check out a local gym (well technically that’s today, but Friday counts, right?). The rest of her weekend, eh, doesn’t sound like as much fun – she’s got exams and a huge report due next week – good luck with that! Cat (kaqphin) – actually owns a copy of Saturday Night Fever – (who’d have thunk it?) although she prefers Travolta’s efforts in Grease (of course! ). Cat had a little computer trouble……… People should not put cords in places I can kick them... hehe!Beth (lastcall2003)- learned the hard way that the “l” is an important letter in the word folks – the greeting message to the morning ‘foks’ got quite a laugh! LOLOL! Kristin (LazyMarathoner) – also responded to Cat’s request for assistance not only did she provide additional info on compression, she also provided a link to help Cat learn how to ‘shake her groove thing’. On her way home from work, she got a nice serving of eye candy to go with her wine . She had a very productive evening Well I didn't get much cleaning done, but I got a lot of drinking and posting in Kendra (Pipscweek) – true to her word, still flying under the radar Rudy (Rudedog55) – signed off before 9:30 and missed out on 9 pages of posts, that’ll teach him . He seems to have realized the error of his ways Holy i missed 9 pages last night BATMAN!!! I need to stay up past 9:30 to chat sometimes with you guys!!! – (not to mention the fact that he wouldn’t miss out on hot leg posts if he stayed up a little later )Andy (RevBigDog)- our resident hip rev stopped in to hang out with the freaks, he’s probably busy cleaning the saliva off of his monitor – he got a little excited when Cat posted a picture………………………………….of cookies! What were you all thinking? LOL! We’re not sure, but it may have even driven him to raid his kid’s Halloween leftovers. Ted (TeddieMao)- more details on the pie eating contest, it was based on who could eat one pie the fastest, when asked about his feelings he replied I was one big bite away from winning. Ain't that always the way it is. Inquiring minds want to know if this has changed his feelings toward pieTravis (tlnewman)- has become such a proficient poster, he now gets TOPPAGE without even trying . Sadly he won’t be around as much for the next few days. He’s going to busy with Toys 4 Tots and helping prepare for the celebration of the Marine Corps birthday (talk about hot men in uniform ). He’s still working on progress pics for Cat and is going to throw in a pic of him in uniform because she’s been so patient Yanti (Triaya)- has a great idea for making a new place feel more like home the very first thing I did was bake cookies (just cut-off-a-roll ones) in my new apartment. It was immediately filled with a new, wonderful, homey smell and it made it welcoming right away. David (Wraith28k)- hmmmm, maybe we scared him away? Some excellent discussion about training occurred – {GASP!!} Other topics We seem to have a recurring theme…………….
