Condensing the training this week a bit, flying out on Sat. night. I have all the times worked out, I am running before the flight, and running when I get to where I am staying, it will be about 3 am our time, so I will be ahead. My legs are already feeling a bit heavy from the extra volume, some jet lag on top of that aught to be wonderful.

Have a nice trip and way to plan out your fist couple of runs to the streak alive. The heavy leg runs just make us stronger.

Day 639, 7.1 miles. My blisters are about healed up now and I am feeling stronger every day. I may even be able to pull off a sub 4 hour marathon next Sunday at the inaugural MT Nittany marathon. Going to go for it and see what happens.

You're a monster.

My word is surgery on Tuesday.  If the doc is as right as he is confident I'll be running in 6 weeks.

Here's to all going well with your surgery on Tuesday, LB. I don't have one in my hand at the moment, but I'll lift a few beers in respect tomorrow. It seems like the right thing to do, or just something I am going to do anyway.

Day 26 is done. Just banged out a quick 2 on the treadmill before my swim, but I had the pace up and felt great. I'm down about 5lbs, maybe that is helping me run a little smoother.

Almost back up to the 30 day mark for the second time around. It's funny...the first time through, I thought 30 was a big deal. Now I am not thinking much of it at all. I'm still not good at this running thing, but it isn't the chore it used to be to do it every day.

Way to go Brad.

Left Brain I hope surgery and recovery go better than the Doc thinks it will.

#297-17.5 mi, been dreading this run all week. 8 miles at marathon pace, actually ended up a bit faster at 7:03, but it was pretty, no, very hard. Now to mow my grass, travel half way around the world, then run again. Good luck all with your streaks and races, be back soon.

Im Sore Good work today, nice pace, and have a safe trip.

Day 641, 14.1 miles. I did run 50.23 miles this week which kind of surprised me. I had only run 4.5 by the end of Tuesday. Now to taper this week for the marathon next Sunday.

Day 27 - 3 miles at a strong pace.
Day 28 - 2 miles, mild pace. Did 30 on the bike this morning with a hangover. Ugh.

Day 29 good for 2 miles on the treadmill. It may not seem like much, but in the last couple of weeks I've flipped my "just get it done" pace from 6.7mph .5% treadmill grade to 7.0mph 1.0% grade. Tonight was tough to get through, honestly, but this was following a 15 mile bike TT, the last Monday night TT of the year for me, so my legs were already drained.

#13, 2.6 recovery miles, though the heat made it feel like anything but recovery.

Day #30 with 3.0 miles. The last mile was a bit of a run/walk as I think I overtaxed myself in the humidity on the first couple.

My second time completing the official challenge. I'll keep it going again like I did before.

Day 644, 8.2 hot humid miles.

In honor of Brad doing two streaks this year I sign up to do two marathons in two day. I am running the New Hampshire marathon on the 5th of October and the Maine marathon on the 6th. This is in addition to all the races I am running this fall. The racing season is ending strong for me, work has finally cooperated with some time off. I have 6 marathons starting this weekend and the last one scheduled is the 9th of November. There is also one half marathon in there too and if I can squeak one or two more in before the first of the year I will.
