It's noon in Amsterdam and I'm having a very slow morning. I slept in and felt all jet laggy so I've been catching up with email and BT. Not much planned for today, but I will be picking up my bike! Yay! I have a super slow connection so there's no way I can catch up with all I've missed here. Looks like we're close to a third thread though! Have fun today!!! Don't forget your supposed to have a pancake and beer for each of us while your over there. Oh and Magda says some other stuff too........ Don't worry, I've had enough beer for the freaks X10. I missed what Magda had to say though... Way to take one er uh 10 for the team Edit: Toppage Edited by chartierm22 2008-11-25 5:29 PM |

Master 1529 | Subject: RE: PT Freaks, TWICE as Freaky jenni4 - 2008-11-25 5:27 PM So speaking of new bikes, I would like to get one. Thought about building my own, being an engineering student and all it really sounds fun. Was it hard? Did it cost more? Anyone? Oh, ask Rudy, he built his bike himself, and it turned out pretty sweet!!! I was wondering those same questions too though. Hopefully Rudy will turn up soon and chat with us. |

Sesh (Bill) has also built his bike up and its a beautiful bike... I have no technicalknow how but in terms of buying the individual things you want, frame, running gear, wheels etc you know you will end up with something you LOVE! You can always work WITH your LBS to build it and learn... a good shop is probably happy to teach/talk you through the process (for a small fee Im sure) especially if you are getting some of your bits nd pieces through them... Another option for starting is to get an old bike frame and build up a basic commuter or singlespeed or something which means if you are doing it 'on the cheap' so to speak you will learn the skills before you try it on a your beautiful expensive bike.... Thats my understanding though with NO practical knowledge! |

Exactly! I can lift a 25kg dog no probs. Thats why I am confused! I think it was just something that was going to be strained no matter what I did. Oh well, I hope it goes away soon How are you today? PS - how do you know so quickly when to jump into a thread?

Master 1548 Perth, Australia | Subject: RE: PT Freaks, TWICE as Freaky jenni4 - 2008-11-25 11:06 PM December Challenges-I decided to do all 3. I know I was a little crazy yesterday-couldn't think strait with the migraine. Ended up in bed at 8, medicated. Better today though. I haven't had one like that in a long time. So yeah, 3 challenges. what was I thinking? I was thinking I don't have classes for most of December so I have nothing else to do. Limiter Challenge-runnning is my limiter. Then there's the Train challenge, and the Pick Your Challenge-I'm focusing on strength training. Sounds like fun Wow, I am tired just thinking about that! I am skipping challenges for December. Nothing really takes my fancy. But I might change my mind ...

I used to work in a vets office, that would have been funny to see, especially on the very small and VERY LARGE dogs. |
