Day 644, 8.2 hot humid miles.

In honor of Brad doing two streaks this year I sign up to do two marathons in two day. I am running the New Hampshire marathon on the 5th of October and the Maine marathon on the 6th. This is in addition to all the races I am running this fall. The racing season is ending strong for me, work has finally cooperated with some time off. I have 6 marathons starting this weekend and the last one scheduled is the 9th of November. There is also one half marathon in there too and if I can squeak one or two more in before the first of the year I will.
Hey man, I don't want the blame for that! Haha!

Nice schedule...I can't even imagine doing all that. I have too much college football to watch and too many beers to drink while doing that.

Day #31 - 2.5 miles. Was pretty worthless out there today, but I got it done. This was after a decent bike ride.

I love it too--did you catch that it's Yanti?  A bunch of us have changed our avis to pics from her albums to show support for her IM this weekend.

I'm sure it's messing with people, so I tried to put a little disclaimer in my sig line :)

Sadly, I have no pictures of me dancing like this.

Wow! That is a lot of racing. Now you have me looking for 2 marathons in the same weekend. Looks like that will have to wait for another year.
Are you going to join the Marathon Maniacs?

I already am, just a one star right now but that'll change with the doubles. I plan on doing at least a triple next year, thinking the Tahoe Triples maybe. That is three marathons in three day and you run around the perimeter of Lake Tahoe, sounds like fun to me.

Day646, 5.2 easy miles, getting ready for the Mt Nittany marathon Sunday morning.

I did not either until last year, just like Ultras, I did not know they existed until my second year of running marathons. There are places that have 5-7 marathons in row too. Some of them get you 5 states in five days as well if you are shooting for all 50 states which I am. I will save Hawaii and Alaska until I retire though so I can make a nice 2-3 week vacation out them. Alaska will include a salmon fishing trip for at least a week.

Day 648, 26.38 miles at the Mt Nittany marathon. I got good and drunk yesterday too and was feeling a bit rough this morning., about 15 beers drunks. The condition were tough along with the course, I nicknamed the run today the 4H run for hilly, hot, humid and hung over. 1400 foot elevation gain, in the 80's for temps, and the dew points were in the 70's, 100 % humidity. I went out at a pace I was not sure if I could maintain with the conditions and just having run the 100 miler two weeks ago. I was just not sure what was left in the tank other than beer, but it worked. I ran it in 3:46:27 according to my Garmin. No official results yet so I am not sure where I was overall and in my age group. It was fun but I do not think I will be getting drunk before a marathon again anytime soon. I could've run it a bit faster too, I feel great.

I'll drink with any of you all.

I've got a few miles to get in later tonight, but probably won't happen until 10PM or later my time. I'll get it done, though. No question.

Day 36 - 2 miles. It cooled off here quite a bit today, so my run felt great tonight. :20/mile faster than normal.

Race coming up on Thursday. I want to kill it.

And I wasn't hung over today!

Day 37 - 2 miles, ratcheted up the speed in the back half quite a bit again. Should've been taking it easy, but felt good so I pushed it.
