I'm getting bummed. According the Christian Pruhomme they wanted to have a first stage of the road race which was more open in terms of who would be wearing the yellow jersey at the end of the first day... With the stage they have set they are hoping for lots of breakaways and counter attacks from great one day riders and stage winners who would not normally be likely to wear yellow... Hopefully that will workout as i suspect it might come down to a bunch sprint of sorts even with the slight uphill finish at the end of the first stage (i dont have the profile in front of me to I hope Ive remembered that right) |

I think if they had a location like London to showcase they would be more inclined to have a prologue. This year was unique that instead of a town applying to host a stage the whole of Brittany put in an application so i guess they saw this as something different to try! |

I must admit I do like it as well... and since TDF is the only race we get full live coverage here of - I miss it more because i never get to see them! |
