Got any fun weekend plans?

I'm 5' 3 1/2", so i don't stand a chance either

I do have fun plans actually :-)

taking my daughter out to lunch and shopping tomorrow and on Sunday I'm going to SPAMALOT with one of my good friends

she has season tickets to the theatre here and whenever her hubby doesn't want to go - I step in as her date

we're going to a really wonderful Italian restauraunt before the show

Hmm...just a night at home with my wife and family.  We've been running all week, and tonight would be a great night to have some downtime...

A run tomorrow...post a pic when this thread gets to page 82...

Church on Sunday morning...friends up from Mankato (we used to live there) Sunday afternoon...

REALLY low key weekend...

The important question is...has it ever prevented us from meeting the women we've wanted to meet? (umm...in my case...my wife...)

Yes, it has proved to be a problem (I'm 5'5"). I tend to be a legs and azz guy, and the better ones are usually (but not always) on women that are taller than I am. Combined with my fetish for high heels, and our cultures' disposition that men should be TALLER than their women... its always been hard for me to find a date. My X2 is actually a 1/2" taller than me, my X1 was 5'1". The person I'm sort of dating here in Sacto is 5'3". But I like tall women, always have, its not an issue with ME.

I'm celebrating my birthday (which is Monday) a little early with this tonight:

I love German Chocolate Cake. It has special meaning to me this year as one of the issues I had with X2 is she wouldn't make it/or get it for my birthdays because she didn't like it because "it looks like a dog turd on a plate."

But the key lime pie SHE likes smelled, tasted, and looked hideous. But I never said anything, but it looks like jello that's gone very, very bad. LOL

Good thing you're rid of her. How can anyone not love chocolate and coconut?! Happy Birthday early.

waidaminut - so, your height prevented you from meeting your wife?  but you're married to her?

I'm confused - LOL

Hiya, Spokes. What have you been up to today?

Well, I ran 14 miles and talked to a good friend on the phone.

I get every other Friday off as I work a compressed schedule. Since this is a long weekend and I wanted to shake up my taper a bit, I flipped my long run to today.

Speaking of which...

I ran 9 yesterday and 14 today... let's see, that makes my challenge numbers 65.7/100.

Well THAT should chase away those taper blues! I am green with envy. I ran a whoppong 3.2 miles this, woo hoo

Hey, a year ago, a 3.2 mile run was hard for me. There is a great degree of truth to ride/run lots mode of training. Once you get to a certain level, though, you have to start specializing the workouts or they just turn into junk miles.

But you should be PROUD of yourself for 3.2 miles... particularly since you're more a cyclist to being with.

I'm still pretty new to the tri thing but I have noticed that exact thing. Each area tends to compliment the other, especially when it comes to running for me. Since it's all about base building for me right now, it works for me.

Thanks Hector. I'll be 46, in case anyone is interested. Doesn't that make me the oldest nibbin? Or almost?

Got me by 3 years...43 last July...
