Breezy - 2011-07-24 2:24 PM As of 4pm EST - Quickstep and Liquigas are still in a battle for second place. BMC and Leopard Trek are separated by less than 4%. 1. Garmin 97.85% (4 riders in Paris) 2. Quickstep 90.49 (4 riders in Paris) 3. Liquigas 86.36 (4 riders in Paris) 4. BMC 71.81 (1 rider in Paris) 5. Leopard 68.27 (2 riders in Paris) 6. Sky 61.66 (1 rider in Paris)

I think we need a ruling about chr15.  He/she appears to have dropped off the face of the earth.

In the absence of Cat (who should be sleeping right now!), I'll say go ahead and remove him. He disappeared from our TdF Prediction challenge too..... Actually, I'll just go ahead and remove him from the spreadsheet now.

Your team is now at 99.4%! Great job, everyone!

Oh no! The Tour de France is over. What are we going to do now?

Well, we're gonna have a one week challenge. This will get us through July, at least.

You can set goals in ONE to FOUR activities: Swim, bike, run and/or other.
If you fall behind in one goal, you can make it up in another. (Ex: 0% Swim + 200% Run is still 100% Overall)

At the end of the week, the WINNERS will be determined by:
a) The overall average in each category. (Ie: Swim average, Run average, etc.)
b) Individual totals. (Ie: the person with the highest completion average)

To participate, check out the Post-TdF One Week Challenge thread!

By now we can assume that all riders have entered their challenge totals in their team spreadsheets. So, the final results of the TdF challenge are.....(insert drum roll here)....

First place is a tie between Garmin and Liquigas! Garmin came in at 99.66% with 6 riders reaching 100%. Liquigas came in at 99.36% with 5 riders reaching 100%.

Second place goes to Quickstep who reached 91.19% with 4 riders at 100%.

Third place goes to BMS with 88.65% and 3 riders reaching 100%.

Fourth place goes to Leopard Trek with 69.15% and 2 riders reaching 100%.

Fifth place goes to Sky with 65.60% and 2 riders reaching 100%.

In the unofficial post-count challenge, Garmin and Liquigas tie again for first as both had 11 pages of posts in their team thread. Quickstep had 7, BMC had 6, Sky had 4, and Leopard Trek had 3. It seems like the key to this challenge is team communication. The more your teammates talked to each other the more likely the team was to get everyone to their goals.

99.36% vs. 99.66% is a tie?

Nah, as much as we here at Liquigas appreciate the gesture, full congratulations go to Team Garmin, the winners of the 2011 BT TdF challenge.  Garmin also beat us at post count, 214 to 203.

Hat's off to Garmin for taking both trophies.

I would like to be the first to request placement on Team Liquigas for the 2012 BT TdF challenge—'cause LG is going to win!

What is 0.3% between friends, especially when no other team came close to our two teams?
