Extreme Veteran 378 Really South | Subject: RE: Proud Pink Peeps milaminute - 2008-03-10 6:23 AM Goooooood Morning Powerful Pedaling Proud Pink Peeps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A few things: 1. Please be sure to update the google spreadsheet if you logged any bike miles yesterday. I updated it on Saturday. 2. Congratulations! As a team we are doing GREAT. Almost everyone is close to 25% of their goals and as a team we are rockin' it at 31.33% of total. Giddyup. 3. If you're not at about 25% yet, you still have some time to catch up, but uhhhh, don't make me get all pink suede and fuzzy whip on you (yup, it's true, I have a new one, right Bill?). 4. Congrats to Sandi for already being at 106%! If you find that you reach your goal early in the challenge we can adjust your goal. Keep on pedaling, peeps.
How do I find the spreadsheet? |

Champion 5117 Brandon, MS | Subject: RE: Proud Pink Peeps Bajapat - 2008-03-10 7:22 AM I'm out..... hear is the story..... Well it was a great day yesterday, my daugter and the ex came to the area and we skiied ALL DAY.. the ex went home and we were closing the mointain after one last run(i'm a ski ptroler remeber) so I told julia we needed to get to the bottem pretty quickly but she stopped really quickly and i wasn't able to and I ran right over her.. SOOOOO while trying to snowplow to stop my right leg pretty much did a 360 and i heard CRACK CRACK CRACK.... and i was soo unable to move.. So i radioed in that both julia and i was hurt but because i was so calm they didn't think there was much wrong until someone got there ans saw how bad i was hurting.. to off to the ed i went.there the doc said the x ray showed a lot of fluid in my knee and he is 99% sure my MCL is blown with the ACL. So i asked the doctor if i would be able to run after this was fixxed and he said sure....so i then told him good because i can't now Owww! Sorry to hear that. (and it brought back some memories) Be smart with the rehab and I hope it's a quick recovery.

I tore my ACL skiing (I was in a ski lesson, so I win the "pathetic cause of injury" award) . But it is what motivated me to do a triathlon- and looking back is one of the best things that happened in my life. So take care of yourself, do lots and lots of PT and by the time you get the OK to run you will be so happy to be allowed to run that suddenly you find yourself loving it! So yup, the doc is right, you will be able to run afterwards :) Edited by Out4atime 2008-03-10 11:59 AM |

Master 1404 Saratoga Springs, Utah | Subject: RE: Proud Pink Peeps Ok, I am going to ramble, White Lightnin', that sounds like something that I drank when I was in college, lol. Kicked my butt real good so that may be a good name. Jeni, I liked your race report and congrats on your race. Real good job! TriAya, good job in your race to! Yeah, I have almost crashed into kids before. They try to get across the road in front of you not realizing how fast you are going. After reading these race reports I want to get in one so bad. Got one that I am planning on doing at the end of this month and hoping that work does not want me to come in that day. I am assuming that we now post miles in the week 2 block. Anyway that is what I did. Is there a way to keep a running % total on the spreadsheet? One more day to ride, tomorrow, and then I head out to MN to do some x-c skiing so will not be riding for 5-6 days. Please do not break out the pink whip! I will make up the miles when I get back and I really hope that the weather is good like it was today. Everyone is doing a great job! Keep it up Pink Peeps! |

You just haven't seen me in my solid red tri suit The life guards at the pool have, however. I got some funny looks that day. I of course had to name my bike after a character in Breaking Away. Dave just didn't seem cool enough, though.

Gosh, I feel for ya.... wow... and there's still so much left to the season.... Well, here's something to give you a boost, I hope... 76 yr old man... no miniscus left in either knee... torn ACL in both (skiis with knee braces)... and other knee issues (he was a back country guide for SNowbird for way too many years... let me just say that he retired at 30 yrs)... last year he finally threw in the towel took off for three weeks to the Alps in Januaryand came back for double knee replacement in Feb 07.... Yeah, I don't think he runs, but he's back out on the mountain and already up to over 50 days skiing this year.... I haven't seen him in the gym in over three weeks... and that's b/c he's on the mtn. |
