Hey guys! I am back!!!

Trip was awesome, check out my blog for a short report and some pictures if you are interested.

Not sure how to work this regarding the challenge, I skied 51 miles + from Sat-Wed.  I almost fell in a stream, does that count as a swim?  Before that I had @ 17 miles - 9 running, 8 biking.  Not doing so good for the challenge really.  So I am at 68 miles total, most of it in nothing to do with Triathlon.  Ha. How far does cross-training get you anyway?

BUT I have a race on Sunday - 10 miler!  Wahoo.

Cheers,
Mandy

Good morning everyone
Checking in:

I've ditched the conservative couch to 5k training plan because quite frankly, I got board.
So I'm now using Michael Pate's Total Sprint.  it's a twelve week program I found on the site. I figured it'd be perfect for getting a good base started for me.

Thus far I've walked a total of 60 minutes and biked 2 miles.  Since I can't swim yet, I'm doing the dry land exercises. I'm starting back to day on that.  I'm also doing daily yoga as well as calastenics.
Hugs
Pat

Wow! You guys are keeping active and staying strong.

Sorry I've been out of pocket so much this week. With being sick and budget coming up this month, it's been crazy.

The good news is that I'm going to switch my work hours from 8 to 5 to 10 to 7. This will put me home when my husband gets home and give me time to train in the morning.

I'll re-read the latest posts after while, but just wanted to give you guys a great shout out!

OK, ya'll. Let's post this week's results.

I got in absolutely nothing because of illness, so I'll be hitting it hard the remainder of the month.

Morning ladies!

I had an awesome time at the 10 Mile Classic yesterday.  I ran 1:25:37 - 8:34/mile!  That is HUGE for me, I thank doing intervals for that.  I guess it is worth the torture.  Ha.  New PR!  My old time was 1:32 - I think I wrote it was 1:37 but I was wrong, I just checked.  For more info check out my race report.

Mid Winter Classic Race Report

This week (from Monday on), I skied 31 miles, biked about 9 miles, and ran 10.  50 Total miles.  The pool has been tough for me to get to due to distance from home, but will try to get there once a week.  BUT I just got an aero bar for my bike, so I am psyched to try that out tonight.

Tonight, recovery bike, and I hope recovery from this crappy cold!

Cheers,
Mandy

Hey Girls!  I hope everyone has a great week of training!!
Lora, hope you get to feeling better soon!!

Thanks Mandy!

Yes I have those paddle "thingys" lol.  I have the Finis Freestyler.  They are great to help you with hand entry and a good catch.  You can tell immediately if you don't enter the water correctly or you don't get a good catch.

Hi Girls -  Just got back from an exhausting swim.  Sometimes swim comes so easy, sometimes I feel like I am dragging myself through the water.

Thanks for all the inspires.  How do you inspire someone?  How about add them as a friend?

Jeri

My husband and I are going on Sun. Sounds like a large group will be there. Wish you could make it. There is another scheduled for the 28th. I am sure there will be a couple more in March. Hope you are doing something fun this weekend

Happy Valentine's day everyone!!! I am soooo sorry I have not been on here but I have been sooo busy.

I have to give up my gym membership so I am not very happy. Swimming will not be in my plans anymore and I am going to try and see if there are any excerise's I can do at home to give me more strength. Biking I can do outside really soon. So I will try to make the best of what I have.

Have a great day everyone!

Jill There are dry land swimming exercises on Youtube. That's what I use since the nearest inside pool is 20 miles away and it belongs to the college.  Hope this helps
