I do not wear gloves unless its cold out

Thanks Neal!

What manly men we have in THE VILLAGE

You are right Ann. Manly men in the village!

I am back and I wear gloves.  Feel nekkid without them and not in the good way.

Looks like us ladies wear gloves...and the men are just too manly to wear them...or they like feeling nekkid...either or?

ironannekidd - 2010-07-21 6:56 AM I've been thinking a lot lately about doing a HIM next year. I'm thinking maybe Syracuse or Beaches to Battleships, depending on if and when I do a marathon next fall.

Once I'm done with my marathon, I'm thinking maybe 2 weeks off, then start running again. I'd like to do a few HM's in the spring, UNITE being one of them .

So I'm thinking this winter I need to start building volume, and getting better at managing my time.

What do you guys think?

I know I'm going to have to work on diet and nutrition as much as everything else, so expect me to be asking for advice.

I think its a good plan.

So does this mean you will try veggies? or are veggies still out?

I can't make any promises on veggies. How about I start slowly with some fruit?

I can accept this.

Do you like soup?

I've seen a cookbook somewhere that was about how to disguise vegetables in things you cook for your kids.  Like, shredding some zucchini and bake it in brownies.  I will try to track that one down.

Jerry Seinfeld's wife wrote that. It's pink. I wish I could remember the name of it.

Jessica Seinfeld’s “Deceptively Delicious”
Missy Chase Lapine’s “The Sneaky Chef.”
Chris Fisk Sneaky Veggies: How to Get Vegetables Under the Radar & Into Your Family.

AHA! That first one is the one I was thinking about.

Kendra posted the link to it a few pages back, along with a couple other in a similar vein.  A friend of mine wrote the introduction.  She is an interventional cardiologist (husband is also), does lots of clinical research, travels non-stop and has 3 girls under the age of 10.  None of her girls were good eaters. She's the one who told me she shreds zucchini and bakes it in brownies.

Hi Kim! How are you?

I am nearing the bottom of the laundry pile, so I went for a bike ride this morning. I have yet to have any caffeine today, and it is starting to catch up to me. Curse the caffeine headache! In a few hours I have back to school night at my son's school (he goes back to school Monday), then my sister's birthday party, then hopefully meeting some girls from work for a late showing of Eclipse.

It is shaping up to be a nice day.

Bike ride beats laundry every time.  Back to school??? I sort of remember this conversation from ages ago.  And your daughter is on a different schedule, right? I've read about summer slippage and the benefits of year-round classes, but it just seems wrong. I loved being a kid and spending my summers catching tadpoles and just doing kid-stuff.

Yep, he gets 3 weeks off for summer. My daughter has another month, plus she started her summer earlier. It hasn't really bugged me too much until this year. We did just have a fabulously long vacation, though.

ironannekidd - 2010-07-21 12:27 PM So I just got off of the phone with my company. They gave me up to the company that won the contract. It's a 5 year gig now. I don't plan on being here that long but at least I don't have to worry about my contract expiring while I'm looking for something else.

I go in on Monday afternoon to do all the new hire paperwork. We didn't discuss salary but I'll have benefits again, which is a PLUS!

Yeah for benefits.

I just set my 10 year old son up with an email address. My little boy is growing up.

I am sitting in my recliner and he is in the office, right on the other side of the wall behind me, and we were chatting while he was online. It was kind of funny. He is just like me in chat, except without all the innuendos.

I would hope he wasn't using all the innuendos...as a 10 yr old. Haha.
