Well THAT should chase away those taper blues! I am green with envy. I ran a whopping 3.2 miles this, woo hoo

Hey, a year ago, a 3.2 mile run was hard for me. There is a great degree of truth to ride/run lots mode of training. Once you get to a certain level, though, you have to start specializing the workouts or they just turn into junk miles.

But you should be PROUD of yourself for 3.2 miles... particularly since you're more a cyclist to being with.

I'm still pretty new to the tri thing but I have noticed that exact thing. Each area tends to compliment the other, especially when it comes to running for me. Since it's all about base building for me right now, it works for me.

sounds like you are definitely on the right track :-)

Yeah, I know. I'm just frustrated cuz I was really throwing in the miles in July and August and starting to see some real improvements and I got injured and had to cut way back and then lay off completely for 6 weeks. Now I'm back to 3.2 mile weeks vs. 30 mile weeks. Makes me wanna cry like a baby!

Your all making me feel tall at 72 inches.

Happy early birthday Spokes and awesome job on your run, someday I'll get there.

Thanks Hector. I'll be 46, in case anyone is interested. Doesn't that make me the oldest nibbin? Or almost?

Got me by 3 years...43 last July...

46 here - as of August

oh, and I'm a Leo what's your sign?
