Great picture! I'm thinking they have something in common with Mila - they all like pink.

Living in a house with 4 girls. We have a ton in common with Mila then because we have pink everything. About the only masculine thing I have is my Patrol Dog Pedro. We are outnumbered and often forced to dress up in *Gulp* pink.

I think Pedro needs a pink bow.

True but what do you do when you have to work late.. its not like you have a lot of forewarning - which really only leaves mornings...

Um. You love mornings, right?
If it something you WANT to do you should do it. You will get paid and get some training in. You cannot beat that.

Precisely. Of course, just be sure not to notice the amount of sleep I don't get on Tuesday nights.

Did I mention the part about overseeing the indoor and outdoor cycling program and getting to lead group rides while being paid?

Yeah, OK, I'll stop bragging about my job now .

Wait, I thought this was supposed to be a hypothetical situation.

Which is something she overheard me telling a friend on the phone about and hour prior.

Don't say your kids never listen to you.

I have learned they are listening when you think they are not. There is nothing like having your children tell on you to other people when they don't realize it.

Did you say a "BOX" of LD's?

Thankfully I am not a fan of chocolate, or many other sweets for that matter.

Yep. I sure did.

I don't think that I actually ate a box of them at once though.

I probably got close though.

Definitely do it! That kind of job sounds like so much fun!

Yes, yes you could start by doing it early in the morning before werk... and then you'll start doing it after werk once or twice a week... and then you'll need the weekend crowd to adore you, too... and then you'll be a race director for indoor tris at your gym... and then you'll be running the group fitness department and you won't be doing that werk that you started with, just being paid to work out and hang out and socialize at the gym and manage drama be at the gym (working, of course)... and then you'll be scouting locations for outdoor tris to direct... and kids tris...

You know, hypothetically speaking, of course.

Im not sure i have 'race director' in me... might see how my little group of ladies at work goes first...

Ummm... I am gonna have to disagree with that.  I think you have race director all over you!  Heck, it's easier than organizing a challenge .  Seriously, I'm lucky because we have a tried and true formula so I don't have to do it from scratch, I just have to make sure I can put all the pieces into play, get the volunteers and space, etc.

triguynewbie - 2008-10-30 7:04 PM Hello again Nibbs. So if how did Nibbs get its name?

It started as Team #6.  We voted on a list of suggested names.  They Who Shall Not Be Named (I think it was my suggestion actually ), morphed into TWSNBN, then to Twisnibbins, then to Nibbins, then to Nibbs...

Quite a history...

yep, the team name was your suggestion!

if anyone is really interested - they can try and find the chronicles of Nibbs

Soooo true!!  I frequently call one of my really good friends and say, "I just want to give you a heads up... don't ever let your daughter catch wind of any of your family secrets because she will roll you right under the bus!".  She repeats just about everything she overhears on a very regular basis when I am driving the dance carpool .

Yeah, I agree - she's a Race Director natural.

And I can see her as a personal trainer, too. With a whip, even.

One of mine told an old lady from my church that Mommy and Daddy can't come to the phone right now they are in the shower. Wasn't exactly true but nothing like trying to explain that one.

It was the "Your Choice" challenge. People got to pick whatever they wanted. There were all sorts of goals. I remember that some people had 5 or 6 goals.

that's right, I remember now - didn't some people even have goals like 'kiss my wife every morning'?
