The bonus with being behind (or in front of, depending on perspective), would be that he'd be right there to do the analysis.  Although, I'm not sure how long he'd last.  He smoked pretty heavily.  Of course, I used to smoke a pack+ a day.....  Speaking of which, February marks one full year of quitting.
