Thats awesome! I can't imagine not spending time with family ... I guess I am quite lucky to have most of my immediate family in Perth. My mum's brother is in Canada and the rest of the family is back in Poland. And then we've also got Sef's family here too. I hope you have a lot of fun with your brother

Wow I havent been to a movie in ages... although I might get around to James Bond at some point! I'm not sure if I want to send the monoe to see that in the theater or not. It has to look like a REALLY good film for me to shell out money at the theater. Its so damned expensive here. I must admit its pretty bad here too in terms of price... but its still cheaper than a night out! Although when its just me solo that works... once you start being more than one person it adds up very fast! Our local cinemas have a "Grandcard" option where its $25 to join, and then every movie is something like $10, instead of the usual $15-16. Its great.

Seriously, Daniel Craig is the hottest man on the planet. I never liked Bond until he came along

Close families can be stifling though as well! Like when everyone wants to know when you're going to reproduce. Or lose weight. Or get a real job. Or get a man. (the first statement applies to me. The second, third and fourth ones my brother & sister get asked all the time!).

Just thought you needed a little reminder. Not that not all for you racking up the points and all but people are dropping like flies with the crud and you are still going great guns even after your TWO big races. Take a little break and pretend to celebrate thanksgiving and eat a bunch of great food this week. Point taken. I didn't do anything this morning Sadly I am OCD when it comes to exercise.
I go through patches... I meither REALLY into it... or REALLY NOT! I hate it when I am really not into exercise, because then its really hard to get back into it. I think thats why I try so hard to stay on the wagon.
Im good with a routine.. when the routine gets thrown out then I definatley have trouble... Routine is my friend. I am OCD about routine

I've been married 4+ years and I'll be 30 next year so everyone except me is watching my biological clock. Well I am kinda watching it. Its on the cards. We were going to start trying soon but with the economy the way it is, Sef wants to leave off for 6 months to make sure his job is secure (he works in mining). Which is great news because now I am seriouly considering the Busselton Half Ironman in May next year.

My grandma was always at me about my weight. As a result when I was 15-16 I went on a crazy diet where I didn't eat much at all, I was practically anorexic, I lost about 20kgs and my periods stopped for about 6 months. Then of course I put it all back on with extra. Parents & family probably don't understand how sensitive teenagers are to such comments, and how poorly equipped they can be to deal with diet & exercise issues. Now I have a normal, healthy approach to food & exercise, but its not thanks to them. I love my family dearly but it was not a good time in my life. Now my poor sister is getting all the comments, and my grandma is using me as an example to her. Sigh ... !

Absolutely!!! I think I'm going to do it. I just have to get my head around all the training thats needed. I looked at some of the training plans on BT and went pale. Its a sh**load of training. I think I need to talk to some other people that have done it. I'll talk to my swim coach, she's a triathlon coach as well, I might get her to give me a program that I can fit into my lifestyle. First I have to convince her that I am going to do one, she tried to talk me out of it the last time I broached the subject. And I need to talk to Sef and get him to promise to support me. Especially on the early bedtimes issue!!!

Once I got my act back together again I was all good til I gained weight with the medication a couple of years ago... didnt really want to have to do the whole being good thing all over again but it looks like i am! |

Are people to busy to bother you with their pets this time of year? Or just a fluke thing? |
