Thats awesome! I can't imagine not spending time with family ... I guess I am quite lucky to have most of my immediate family in Perth. My mum's brother is in Canada and the rest of the family is back in Poland. And then we've also got Sef's family here too. I hope you have a lot of fun with your brother
Yeah I moved to the other end of New Zealand at 17 and I havent lived in the same city as my immeadiate family since so I guess Im kind of used to it... although I do get jealous of other close families!
Did I mention that I used to live in Dunedin? I think I've already mentioned that ...
No you didnt (or I didnt remember it)... Ive only been to Dunedin a couple of times and most of my memories were that it was FREEZING and I should have worn more clothign to go out at night!

Absolutely!!! I think I'm going to do it. I just have to get my head around all the training thats needed. I looked at some of the training plans on BT and went pale. Its a sh**load of training. I think I need to talk to some other people that have done it. I'll talk to my swim coach, she's a triathlon coach as well, I might get her to give me a program that I can fit into my lifestyle. First I have to convince her that I am going to do one, she tried to talk me out of it the last time I broached the subject. And I need to talk to Sef and get him to promise to support me. Especially on the early bedtimes issue!!!
yes support is sooo important... Im trying to get some cash together to move back out on my own so I can get back into a routine and I can be a little selfish! The flatmate stays up and just makes a lot of the training difficult (like not letting me have my trainer set up and hanging rubbish bags off my bike... that one makes me furious) .. and im not even dating him!!!! |

They're all at home, so I would have to drive home to get them and then come back to work. I don't want to waste the petrol. I'll do them tomorrow & Friday - those days look equally as quiet!
Are people to busy to bother you with their pets this time of year? Or just a fluke thing?
I really don't know what it is. Last week was totally crazy and this week is really quiet. Things tend to come in waves in this industry and no one knows why. School holidays are traditionally very quiet. I also think the economy will impact on us, people may no longer have the disposable income to spend on their pets. We'll see.

Good idea. She's a Perth girl too. I also know some people in *real* life who have done it too, I'll chat to them. I'm not out to win it, just finishing is all I want. I think thats why my coach was not so supportive - she's an ex professional triathlete and very competive, she would prefer that people train for something they can finish well, as opposed to just finish. Which I kinda agree with but I don't have all the time in the world. Once we have kids, who knows when I'll get the time to train for something like that.

I must admit.... one thing Ive learnt is that some people find it hard to get the 'I just want to finish' goal.. it might be time for a new coach! |

Totally. Men complain that women nag, but women nag because men don't do what they're asked the first time round. You have to repeat yourself 20 times before it gets done. I don't want to be a nagger but its either that or do it myself, whilst hubby rests on his laurels LOL.

Its one of those things... its like the reverse when some one says they are going to do something... I just assume thats the case until they tell me otherwise... but then stuff just doesnt happens... This just proves why I could NEVER be an EA or an event planner or something like that! |
