I am leaning towards this one, http://www.mohonkpreserve.org/rock-ridge-course-description Its a bit later than I wanted, but looks nice.

Last night was #93 - 2.5 miles of speed work intervals. Felt surprisingly good, and kept a better than expected pace during each recovery interval.

I've crept up about 4-5 lbs in the last month and a half, assuming this is somewhat because I had been limiting the intensity workouts. Also haven't been biking much, so total caloric burn is definitely down. Going to have to fight this one.

Race report posted.

Read the report, sounded like a great time. I am 100% committed to doing a 50 mile ultra now, sounds like too much fun to pass up on (I realize that sounds sort of crazy to most people). Early spring seems best considering that I will probably do a HIM in May, I am doing an IM in Aug, and I will finally waive in to the NYC marathon after 3 years of losing in the lottery in Nov.

Guess I'll start looking, hopefully find a nice venue.

#374- 17 mi, lots of hills, some trails again, close to race pace for a lot of the run. Not much tough left on the schedule, a bit of speed work still, some mid distance runs. But should have a nice taper.

Sounds great! Hope you have a mild winter, couldn't imagin doing all the miles in sub-zero temps.

Sounds like a great race. Love the idea of running on the trails without being a trail marathon with all the rocks and uneven ground.

Last night was #94 - 4 miles, then came home and did Trainer Road Ericcson.

Going to hang out with some college friends tomorrow and Saturday, tailgating for the big Michigan State - Michigan game. I'm sure that will mean I am going to be hurting my way through a run pretty early Saturday morning, as I'll need to be in line for a tailgate spot about 8AM and will probably be out with everyone for a while Friday night. Not looking forward to that one.

You can go out at midnight tonight. You wont have to worry about the early morning run, and will get a longer rest too.

#376- 5 mi. Legs felt really heavy. Even though my body probably isn't aware yet, my brain knows I am tapering, and it wants to shatter all my confidence.

In a taper for my HM on Saturday. My legs feel heavy too and my right calf is a bit sore. Hope I feel good for race day.

#377- 4 mi

Had only 30 minutes to run going between a double shift I had to work. Had to do it on a treadmill because I needed a shower before going back. Missed a nice day outside.

Ran a HM today. PR'ed @ 1:43:33 definitely an improvement over my first ever HM ever this year. Had a time of 1:55:27 there.

I did run the previous 40 days before that one either lol,

Always great to PR. Nice work. You keep up with your current level of commitment and there will be plenty more coming.

#378- 12 mi progression run. Finished up with a few miles under marathon pace (or what I hope to be marathon pace). Was a good run, a bit windy, a little rain, but not too cold. Was on pace for about a 1:34 half, hoping for a 3:08 marathon in two weeks.

Looking forward to hearing about your marathon. I am sure you rock it.

I have my next one next Saturday. It'll be my 10th race in I think 13 weeks. 100 miler, 7 marathons and 2 half marathons. I am taking a break from racing until my next 100 miler in February.

Made it through the weekend with my friends. Saturday's run was 6:30AM after a long day of Friday drinking, but it went better than I expected. Almost to 100.

I have had a few runs the day after some heavy drinking. I actually ran a marathon this after some heavy drinking, it gets the demons out of my system quickly. Good job on getting out there and almost 100 days of streaking.
