Hi Creepy Peeps!
Did a 5k tempo run today...its freezing here, minus 11 with the wind chill (celcius). We got 10cm of snow overnight. I am within 10k of my goal....two more 5k runs and I'm done!! Yippee!!

Got in a 3 mile run while I was on campus today.

Time for me to HTFU and push out those last miles in the next 2 days. I'm going to look like I've been through a nightmare on Halloween

Can't let my Clowns down though, so it's gotta be done!

Go Clowns!

SOOOO . . . you may or may not know that I have written several threads about my stupid knees. And what to do about them. And my  dr.s (I think I enraged some other dr.s . . . oooops). Long story short, I have to get knee surgery. My MRI showed that my left knee cap is totally out of line. It is tilted and overhanging the other bones (whatever those are). So, yeah, I am getting knee surgery Nov. 7. I won't be able to "train" for three months. But, supposedly, this will fix my pain and be a miracle--as long as I do all the PT correctly, etc. Ah! I am actually kind of scared, but my knee hurts no matter what I do now and my Dr. was said there was NO way I should be running or doing a triathlon at all. I mean, I wake up with my knee aching and it hurts whenever I do any kind of exercise. If I keep going the way it is, it will eventually rub all of my cartaladge (sp?) away. So . . . any encouragement? Successes? So I am still going to be keeping track of diet on here. And I am going to be keeping track of physical therapy and strength training, but it's going to look like I am totally slacking on training for about three months. But I kind of don't have an option. I will do as much as I can. But I want a super-awesome recovery. Anyway, so there was the explanation. And, just to note, the Dr. who didn't do the MRI said that I should just go out and run. Good thing I got the expert opinion, huh?

Good morning Clowns,

I have finally gotten the spreadsheet updated. And I will run this afternoon and tomorrow too. So I'll get to 100%. Everyone is doing just great. Even those of you who have been on the injured list. Tri_jean: I am so sorry to hear that you have such an serious injury. But I am sure that with the proper surgury and PT you will be back stronger than ever. I have not ever had that type of injury but know of others that have and have made a remarkable recovery. Best of all now you know what is wrong and that is is fixable. Best to you and will still keep a "creepy peep" eye on you. You know once a Clown always a clown.

Evreyone else have a great day and be careful out there. Gotta go and earn my keep

Chris

Can I switch from run miles to walk/run minutes???  I'll get in 12 hours...or get really really close.  I just can't get in all actual "runs" b/c of the knee and the lack of hub in town to watch kid!

I don't know if we can change up but I'll ask Cat. She knows everything. I'll find out and let you know when I know.

(^_^) Happy Halloween Creeps,

Today is the last day of the Challenge. I'll be updating the spreadsheet later this eve. But I'll also check tomorrow to make sure if we have any late runs I'll catch them. I have to run this afternoon myself. Sugar (candy) hangover and all. It has been a joy to have you guys as a team. And a few of you are on the team with me for Nov USMC Challenge. Can't wait. Well off to get something done.

Hey Clowns! Just got back from my last run, a solid (for me) 3.2 miles... didn't make it quite to my goal

I just couldn't push my legs any farther without risking an injury, I already violated the 10% rule by quite a bit in this last push.

It was a pleasure and an honor running alongside all of you this month, GO CLOWNS!

Happy Halloween!
