I'm not too worried about losing my job since I'm in the Army. It's where the job sends me that tends to worry me and my family sometimes. Other than that, I have decent benefits, a home, and a steady paycheck. Can't really complain too much.
Decided to take my fate in my own hands and resigned from my job at Merrill Lynch last week. Didn't think I fit in the new Bank of America/Merrill organization for a variety of reasons, both personal and professional. Starting a new independent investment advisory firm with a couple of other experienced advisors. So far so good. Little bit scary starting a new venture, but it helps that many of my clients want to stay with me.
