I'm not sure that this is a bad thing.  Maybe it means that we can elect someone else to lead our state.  I can imagine the fun it will be seeing Governor Pointy Boots on a debate stage with Sarah Palin.  That's entertainment right there.

ETA: He's not cool enough to be JOE Perry's brother.  Maybe STEVE Perry's but not Joe's.
