Pre-race routine:

Got up at 6:15 am, had a waffle with PB, drove to race.
Event warmup:

I had an upset stomach, was in porta-potty up until 1 minute before race.

Comments:

The bridge actually had a pretty nice incline to it. It was very hard on s.the way up especially on the second go round. Wide range of Floridian
What would you do differently?:

I would have picked up the pace. I really thought about 1 mile in that I could do a 8:30 pace but bridge incline killed me on the way back.

Warm down:

Drank a lot of water. Watched the other runners.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I ate a lot over this vacation plus I had crappy sleep. I need to get a better stride.

Event comments:

This was a nice family oriented race. I liked the bridge aspect, wish I could have seen more of the view.

Thanks to another BT'er, I found out that they initially used the finish chip time not the beginning so I was off a minute. They have since updated and now my time is better which i thought it was. Thanks!
