Comments: great overall run. got into a zone a just kept pushing forward. Last year I had to walk some, this year I ran all of it and beat my time by 3 minutes over last year! *yay me* What would you do differently?: go with initial instinct as to dressing for the weather - I dressed for 40* (shorts/technical T) but it felt colder when I arrived. I added a UA long sleeve and leggings, of which I quickly started to overheat in by mile 1. And - change pre-routine to no solid foods in any amount. And - remember to bring the palm bottle I specifically bought for 5k runs. Post race
Warm down: .5k walk, good 30 sec stretches and water/gatorade. What limited your ability to perform faster: strong uphill headwind & too many layers (again!) Need to work on hills. Event comments: I like this run and will do it again next year. not too small, but not so large you could get easily trampled. Last updated: 2008-01-26 12:00 AM

standard routine 5k or sprint tri.
up 2 hours early - 20 oz water, multi-vitamin, 2 advil, 1g vit-C.
1 hour prior 1/2 clif bar, 4oz gatorade
10 min prior 1 gu packet - couple sips of water
slow jog around parking lot - 15 mins to stretch
