Subject: iphone hanging(froze)

has anybody encountered this, my iphone hanged, the menu and the button

on top wont work, it froze on the google website and wont leave. just downloaded

the newer version of the iphone software and was reading discussions that this might have caused it, any of you iphone experts know how to fix it rather than bringing it to

apple?

have you tried holding down the button on top and the home button for more than 5 seconds? This should turn it completely off.
