The masters swim team by the airport is fairly sporatic, but they practice from 6-7 at R.L. Jones Aquatic center in Mt Pleasant. They leave their practices on the board and I do them during my lunch break (it is a nice facility that is usually empty, go to mtpleasantrec.com for their schedule).

I am still too slow to join a run group but charleston runners club has a website that lists when they meet and last I checked mikes bikes rents and they are located on coleman (10 min from the airport)

let me know if you have any other questions

(I am new to the sport, so I know charleston well, but am still learning this part of charleston)

Bill, I would concur with the Jones Center in Mt Pleasant. I swim there. Another Master's location is the Martin Luther King pool downtown Charleston. The MLK pool is 50 meters while the Jones Center is 25 meters. Another bike rental possibility would be Easy Rider Bikes in Mt. Pleasant 843-881-0222. Another great source of info is Trysports in Mt. Pleasant 843-849-9292.
