Subject: RE: IM Lou training:Taylorsville 1/2 IM I did the Aquabike option of that race last year, since I was coming off of a hamstring injury that sidelined my running. Both the bike route and the running route are hilly on that course, worse than IM Louisville. I certainly wouldn't call it too tough, but there are couple of the hills that stick out in my mind that are quite long and grueling. Cynthia and Todd Heady, who are the race directors for the Taylorsville race, are in the works of finalizing the details for a HIM distance race that will incorporate portions of the actual IM Louisville bike course, or so rumor has it. It might be worth a phone call to Headfirst Performance to see what the status of that potential event is. If it looks as though that race is going to happen, it might be something to consider. |
