Comments:

Tough up and downhill. Breaking in new shoes was a big mistake. Blisters at mile 3. Last 7 miles were not comfortable, but it hurt to walk and hurt to run so I just pushed through. Ended up hurting my arches, but just did a little PT to learn some stretching moves. One water station and that was at mile 8.5, horrible setup. I had water belt, but I felt bad for others who didn't because it was pretty hot in the desert.
What would you do differently?:

Not break in shoes during a long trail run.
