Subject: Cholesterol Results
The first cholesterol test I ever had was over 3 years ago and it was very depressing. I figured I was one step away from a heart attack. I recently had another test and was greatly anticipating the results. I had the nurse check my chart from my last test when I called today as she was reading my new results...and here they are...

2004 results
Triglycerides: 146
HDL: 44
LDL: 164
Total: 238

2008 results
Triglycerides: 156
HDL: 46
LDL: 114
Total: 191

I was totally doing the happy dance in my chair I wish I would have gotten tested before I started training to see how much worse they were. I'm positive the levels would have only gotten worse because I had really let myself go. I am still in shock!! The funny thing is that I had been putting this test off for months because I just knew it was going to be high again.

I am a prime example of how exercise can lower cholesterol levels. Just another benefit of tri-ing
