Does anyone know the impact on mph of a bike that properly fits you as opposed to one that doesn't?

How much does does the fit have to be off before a significant negative impact?  All other things being equal could a cm have a 1-2 mph difference or more?

Depends where that cm is in the grand fit scheme. Saddle height? Stem length? cleat placement? Some areas of fit wouldn't be so noticeable, others would be dramatic.

Just a top tube length? 1cm not so much that it couldn't be doctored with adjusting seat, stem, etc. Now , if your fit was off by 1cm for every measurement, THAT wouldn't be so pretty.

Don't worry ... the bikes today are highly adjustable and a good bike fitter will work with you until it is right.
